If you want to see this team implode, start Nix next week. You want to see the fans freak the frick out? Trot Nix out to start the game next week.
You just witnessed a very inexperienced kid, rally his team from behind and take the win. He has the teams confidence, and Bo has lost it. Harsin surely knows this. Hopefully Harsin also has Mason on the short leash and pushes him to run more man and get away from that back breaking zone for the vast majority of the time.
I don't think anyone here really cares how we win, or who is responsible. Newton's punt block is why we won tonight. Finley played great, so lets start him. 14-1' ship

Wow, we had a 5* DT committed to USC who has started taking visits since Helton got fired, and he was there to witness that shite show today...
Maybe he's ready to get on the field.
Maybe he's ready to get on the field.

Team is playing like a team.
We are gonna win.
I told you rig.
10 was always the problem.

Bottom line is, Nix doesn't get benched, we lose. Very few think he would suddenly start hitting his throw or making good decisions. We saw 3/4 of a game, we kinda new what to expect. I hate to break it to you, but the punt block didn't put us ahead. It was the drive led by Finely. Game on the line, and he didn't choke like someone else did, last week.

Had high hopes for Bo hopefully this makes him work a lot harder and get better.
Thought he was already doing that.

I have no doubt in my mind that Nix could have done that if he was in. Nevertheless, Finley did it.
Then why had bo not done it all day???
Why, when bo was pressured - did he run around in circles and take a sack or throw the ball away….. while TJ throws it to an actual receiver in the end zone? (Or a RB in the flats)
Look dude, no one is calling TJ an all star. I hope we get a transfer or a young QB that comes in and takes the job next year.
But Nix is not the answer. This defending of him just reveals your lack of football IQ, your stubbornness, or your arrogance.
Which is it?

We have 3 or 4 examples of Bo playing that way then putting it together on one drive to sneak out with an ugly win. It was completely possible he would have made the same herp derp decision we the Statue of Liberty make...bottom line is neither one looks like an SEC QB.
Based on what we saw today I do believe TJ should've gotten the shot he got.

There is no doubt in my mind, that if Nix was in on that 4th down TD pass, it would have resulted in a sack, or a deep overthrow into the stands.
I do not dislike Nix. I think he's a great kid and represents the university as well as anyone ever has. but we lose that game if he remained in.

Actually agree on that 4th down play. Bo has put together a few really good games but it seems any game he doesn’t start out hot he struggles to turn it around

Generally throwing the ball away while being chased down isn’t a bad football play. Bo was money on several drops today. Was that his fault too? The OL sucked. The WRs sucked. The defense sucked. Yeah Nix had 3 or 4 overthrows, but Finley had just as many in 1.5 drives. And he is the scapegoat?

We are going to let the game next week decide who is not the answer. I have already seen what Nix can do.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Georgia State hero that ran backwards with his back completely turned against the LOS on 4th and 12.

Yeah, against a team that got stomped by Army by 33 points.
Didn’t Malik choke to Syracuse?
Didn’t Bo BIG DICK Malik?

Facts are, Nix did not look good at all yesterday. Finely got brought in cold, and won the game for us. Anybody with two eyes could see that Nix wasn't getting it done. Just his calmness alone was a vast improvement and you could tell the team responded to it.
As far as Malik Willis and your denial about just how good he is, he will be cashing big NFL checks very soon. Can you reasonably imagine Nix doing the same? Mr. Happy Feet still can't set his feet for throws after 3 years in a P5 program with several coaches, his daddy, and private coaching.

Tom Brady would suck behind our offensive line.
I guess you go with TJ this week.
Short leash for him, but every player should have a short leash.

When Bo was in neither his receivers nor line helped him out. We deserved an L. Sure, “Finely” the brand new backup did really well against that tired and talentless Georgia State team and he threw one touchdown, so that means he is the answer. Right!

Congrats on the position change. Bo still sent him packing. IIRC the order was
1. Bo
2.Gatewood

3. Willis

I really wanted Bo to be the guy, and I truly thought he’d turned the corner after the first two games. It appears (barring some undisclosed injury) that this was not the case. TJ won the game yesterday, but had some great luck doing it. He is who our LSU friends told us he was.
Here’s to surviving the rest of 2021 as best we can, and hoping for portal help (or that Geriner can start as a true FR).

You don't remember Gus' 1a and 1b, QB remarks? All bullshite. Gus got Nix shell shocked at the Swamp and LSU, but 1b wasn't even a consideration. So, was Gatewood really close to being named starter, or was Gus just lying? Gus didn't think Willis would ever start for him, and Willis got that message and transferred.
Let me, let you in on a little secret: If your QB isn't progressing from year to year, still doing the same old shite that is detrimental to the team, you had better start looking for other talent to coach up. Willis was never given a shot, and wasn't going to get a shot under Gus. He knew that early on, and he's now at a tiny school, surrounded by teammates that nobody else wanted, and he's about to be drafted in the 1st round.
