No way that is Cohen's actual list of candidates given that this is his ride-or-die hire IMO. Sumrall - The more I think of this the more I think that he is a backup option. He is working way too hard to try to get this job from his end. Too much noise on him, which 98% of the time means that it is agent driven. Durkin & Kelly - Can't possibly be who Cohen wants to hitch his career on. Again, backup options from a sheer job-preservation perspective of the AD.

I guess you saw yesterday Dilly had the highest betting odds.

Do you think thats bullshite or do you think we are not paying enough attention to that.

Damn. We could be down by 40 and I am still watching. I get literally depressed when I cant watch during the offseason.

Does Brohm actually leave his Alma Mater though?

I’m probably the outlier but the thought of Durkin staying is growing on me. He has done a great job on defense and he knows the locker room already. He might be able to hit the ground running and keep the team together going forward.

Me too. Beating Vandy or Bama catspults him up the list. Beating both and I'd assume the job is just his.

Durkin is growing on me too. The defense seems to love him. Keeping him keeps most of the talent on defense, and probably stops several players on the offense from leaving. We could probably get him for under $5 million a year and use the extra money on a top offensive coordinator.

That is such an awesome video.

Brohm or Key would be my realistic first choices.

I am warming up to the idea of hiring Durkin if he rights the ship the last few games. Give him a blank check to hire the best staff he could possibly assemble and let's ride. Definitely an improvement over what we have had the past few seasons.

ETA: If Durkin were to get the job and give up control of the defense, Auburn should petition the SEC to let Jeremy Pruitt go back to an on-field role. You can say a lot of things about that guy, but he coached some nasty defense.

I just dont understand the Sumrall hype. Do not want Jimbo anywhere near Auburn.

It could be worse. We could be LSU. Some of them are saying Frank Wilson will be who they hire.

Cohen better hire a coach worth the 11-12m he's gonna need to pay a coach to come in and save his career at Auburn.

You only do that once they prove their worth and any coach worth that now already has that kind of contract.

I'm convinced the idea of Jimbo is the work of a troll whose joke landed.

Not a single person, related to Auburn, on any message board, anywhere, has suggested it's a good idea to hire Dumbo.

Keep that guy away from our football program.

DJ can coach and motivate. Players love him. It’s just can he lead a program.

It will be interesting to watch how the media tries to influence this decision

He is an excellent motivator.

Can he run a program is the biggest question. We need a general manager to go with Durkin. Not the type of general manager we got now but an NFL GM that is taking some of the oversight off of his plate.

My thought too. Go the nfl route difference is your HC has to be a father figure in some cases providing the tough love and discipline but also a motivator

Brohms would be a great hire. Is Drink in the mix?
