I only see 2 wins out of our final 5 games.

Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

Interesting that the current dynasty that exists in the NBA has apparently disregarded “basketball 101.” Granted, they do shoot at an extraordinarily high level that almost no one could expect to shoot at.. but they still fail your supposed “basketball 101”

Every game left on our schedule is winnable.

All the wins

With Reid Travis out for UK, and with Tenn cooling off and coming to AU, I probably feel better about either of those games than I should

When we get a 7 footer who can shoot 40% from 3, we’ll be in business.

I swear we have used this line for the past two years.

I’d be willing to bet we didn’t use it last year

A more realistic plan is to recruit guards who can drive to the basket and get fouled/finish at the rim because not one of ours can.

Exactly. Losing Mustapha Have hurt a lot. He could take ball to the basket when we needed it. We need that ability back.

Do you not see the similarity or did you even try to understand his point?

Lanier Hot Take: The 2018-19 Auburn team is not the 2018-19 Golden State Warriors. Got it.

Might want to look up how many 3's we attempt compared to others..

Thank you for your expertise.

Can't find the basketball recruiting thread so I'll post this recruiting nugget in the team thread.

Sounds like 5* 2020 PG Sharife Cooper is trying to reclassify to the 2019 class. Last I heard AU was still in a good spot. Not sure if that's still the case as UK has ramped things up with him. He is visit UK Saturday for the AU game. He has been to AU a number of times also FWIW.

I would think that’s good news for us. The longer his recruitment goes on the more Duke and UK get involved

Apparently there is talk of Shariffe reclassifying to 2019.

Seems to be more common with future NBA studs.

So uhhhhh what are Harper’s plans??

I wish we took more threes. We are good at them and they are worth more. The math agrees with me. But college teams don’t think like the Houston Rockets.

Kerr from GS had a great point on shooting 3s: Will have to zoom in.

I somewhat agree with that. I mainly want us to take more threes because we are good at them. We are not good at two’s especially when the opponent has a decent to good rim protector.

Samad H.
@Mod_Hines
Auburn HC Bruce Pearl was in tonight for 2020 C Walker Kessler of Woodward Academy (GA)

Doubt we get him but would be huge if we did.
