I like what he says, high school recruits are the focus here

It appears R Williams is looking. Would we want him assuming the price is right? We are going to be a WR friendly offense

i think his strategy, if implemented successfully, will work in the long run
however we should prepare for some mid results the first couple of seasons
then again, we have the talent to win next year if he & staff are able to a) keep key pieces out of the portal and 2) coach them into an actual team instead of what we’ve seen the past three years

We need more workmanlike receivers not more divas.
But having talent is sweet too.

You have to go this route. It just isn't sustainable to try and depend on massive transfers every season, you just won't be able to maintain a solid roster. You need the base to be your high school talent and then use the transfer portal to shore up areas that you either missed on evaluations or just need that final piece to take you over the edge, and depth obviously.

He's AU legacy. Bring him home! Plus it'd drive bama crazy when he scores on then in the IB.

That was Hugh Freeze's philosophy and I agree with that. But you've got to keep as much of this top talent in the roster as possible. You're not gonna outcoach Kirby or bama with 3* HS talent.

That big Ole IOL from Phenix City decommited from the inbreeding school.

I think he understands that. During this entire changeover I was screaming we can win now if these players receive better coaching. Cohan even mentioned that this is NOT a rebuild. This guy isn't a fool like Tony Franklin who believes he can coach up a bunch of 2-3 stars in the SEC.

Culture misfit. He won't be there long.
Hate to see him go, but it's AG's show now.

At least get them to take off the decorative watches on game day.

What to make of recruiting a 250 mile radius?
That doesnt even include his stomping grounds in Tampa or Durkin's in Maryland/DC

I like a 300-mile radius better and go after a few blue chips outside it.

Eh, I wouldn't take the actual distance number as anything more than him just saying we are going to prioritize recruiting local and dominating our state/surrounding area. Doesn't mean we won't go after kids farther, but it starts with dominating AL/Panhandle/GA.
