If true, someone will owe us a buyout.

The buyout went to zero at the end of the season.

Agree. This was a 2 year deal at best. We had a lot better shot at 2 years with a good outlook for next year.....but whatever. USC is a very risky stepping stone. Just like MSU. If you win, you better get while the getting is good. If you don't you're done as an HC.

If Muschamp leaves, TRob is not going to stick around as an assistant here.

Well he's a reporter at the Orlando Sentinel so he's at least somewhat legitimate.

You could say because Mark Bradley is a reporter at the AJC he's somewhat legitimate, but he's not.

Why am I not melting? I should be upset at losing boom.....our defense showed promise for the future. Have I become immune? Has Gus made my arse quit?

We shouldn't freak out at all throughout this...it's simply what happens when the school transforms from a football school to basketball school.

How much do we beat Mercer by?

So you're saying that Gus doesn't have control over his own staffing decisions?

How much is UAB paying his arse hell they cancelled football for gotdamn year. Are you going to get a power 5 HC gig cause you had a great year at UAB ?

Why would anyone mention him without being sarcastic? The guy put off football for a year for just the possibility to be UAB head coach again.

Gus doesn't have any splaining to do if he goes to USC

I think the implication is why formally resign if you're changing jobs? If this report is true (a big if) then it sounds like Muschamp is trying to slap AU in the face by "resigning."

In other words, it's a "take this job and shove it" type of thing.

Again, if true.

EDIT: Appears it's not true, though I am sure he gone anyway when it's all said and done.

Well it would be absolutely stupid to believe that Muschamp resigns just to slap Gus in the face.

You have to resign to take another job. A reporter reporting that a coach has resigned doesn't make it any more formal than usual. It's just a different way to report it.
