For hypothetical purposes, since we are in it for Jalen Green, and chances with Greg Brown seem to be dwindling, let’s assume that Green is the only other 5* besides Shariffe that we sign.

Yes. Hypothetically, we signed Green.

What other pieces do we need to maximize the one year window of Green being on our roster in order to compete for a NC? We are not certain that Bab is going to be the guy next year. We really don’t know anything about him yet. We can’t appreciate enough how valuable Horace Spencer and Dunbar were to our final four team. What do we need?

Chris Moore can play a nice Dunbar role though.

Dunbar. I’ve slept since then. Don’t judge me.

I think we really need some big men to sign as well. Who do we have on the team as far as bigs go once our two seniors graduate?

I wouldn't assume that. Kuminga is very much in play, especially if he reclassifies which looks likely.

I think we are ok at the 4 but need a freshman 5 and maybe a grad transfer 5 to go with Akingbola.

I mean if you want to call a decently rated 4* averaging 4points a game valuable.?

Yeah I'd call a guy who averaged around 20 mpg and made countless hustle plays in our undefeated March of 2019 pretty valuable. I don't think that banner is up in the arena without him.

There’s more to a stat line than points. If you expected them to score points on a team with Harper, Brown, Okeke then you should go reevaluate your opinion

Those guys were contributed 15 or so minutes a night while averaging less turnovers than turnovers forced. That’s the true value they created

You have the absolute worst takes dude. Horace made a huge impact on defense and in overall effort with the spark he provided off the bench every time he got in the game

His presence in the paint made a huge difference. One of the best rim protectors in the SEC.

Everybody knows Horace Spencer wasn't much threat on offense, but he was Grade A on defense, Grade A teammate, Grade A energy.

Not to mention him bad Purifoy were the first 4*, top 100 recruits to commit to Pearl and helped legitimize what Pearl was doing here

Horace Spencer deserves a ton of credit

And one of the most fun moments of all of last season to me was Horace hitting his first career 3. One of my favorite memories of the season

We cleaned up in OT anyways but my biggest regret from last season outside of a no call double dribble might be wishing Horace had hit that three at the end of regulation to send us to F4

Would have been my favorite moment in Auburn history this side of the Kick Six

I truly don't think you can watch a basketball game and comprehend what you're seeing. Go watch the NCAA tourney games from that run and post the same thing.

He was our high energy guy that could rebound and block shots. PPG isn’t the only stat that shows value.

Go watch the last 2-3 times PJ Washington touched the ball in regulation in the E8. Horace came up huge

I think we turn it around tonight.

I expect to see the same mistakes from the last two games mixed in with signs we are turning a corner.

It's going to be a close and frustrating game. I think we will win in the end.

I don't expect a full-on nail biter at all, but it could happen. Look what happened to Butler. Losses do weird things to teams no matter how seemingly good and resilient they are at the time. At the drop of a hat, they can lose all confidence, completely forgetting how to play together and shoot. Happens a lot to winning programs, and we'll eventually get used to it.
