What chatter was this?
the chatter surrounding the departure of a 5-star legacy 3-year starter QB, the firing of Mike Bobo as OC, and AU’s highly publicized recruiting struggles at positions of need, particularly OL and WR

i mean, the same stuff that eventually led to the coup attempt

Your post supported Bo Nix hate as if a 61% completion passer is even a 10th of our problems right now. We literally had a receiver drop a wide open TD in the EZ against Georgia State but my God that 0 TD 0 INT performance was just more than you could handle. We had a white fullback run the ball up our arse then, but that’s all you want to talk about.

Newsflash: our current QBs are much worse than Bo.

No let’s be more over dramatic. That’s what message board are for.

No they are not. 61% was half a season for Bo Nix. He didn't face Bama. He was well below that in his full seasons. Bo Nix is a slot WR out of position. TJ and Calzada may not be great, either. But that has nothing to do with how terrible Bo Nix is. You remove his bubble screens, and he is 30% passing completions.

And I’m guessing Saban was relieved

55% and 56% may not compare to 61%

I watched Calzada last year. He didn’t throw it further than 10 yards against Arkansas and still got a whooping and an L. Who are you trying to fool here pretending that only Bo threw short passes or with your “Bo would would be 4th on the roster” takes.

Stop fanboying fricking Nix. He's terrible. Calzada will be judged on his performance on field if he wins the job. Same with TJ. Bo Nix is a veteran QB and is struggling to beat out a freshman rn.

Are we really blaming Bo Nix for Auburn’s defensive meltdown?

ETA: I was off by a game.

Tell me which QB will do better? Tell the whole board. And why is Calzada struggling with Finley?? Nix didn’t.

There is talent and a competition over there. Hence why Ashford is here. Check the video of the Oregon QB throwing it 70 yards.

Nobody is fanboying him. He was fricking better than TJ Finley, bro. Auburn would be better off if he was still on roster.

Yes he is. Blaming the QB for the shell our offensive coaches entered as well.

Sounds like they knew they couldn’t beat out the 2022 Heisman winner TJ Finley

Is it basketball season yet?

Bruce’s boys will have more wins by November 23rd than Bryan’s boys will during the entire season.

Sounds to me like you’re saying a QB with a 61% passing completion and a higher passer rating, QBR, and rushing impact than all of our QBs is terrible, but 55% and naturally inconsistent Finley and Calzada can only be judged by what they do next year, not by their product last year. It’s funny how that works.

You are so AUssbackwards and I love it. You are the boards miniature pet.

If our current QBs get 3 seasons of experience while throwing backward passes, sub 60% completion rates, terrible QB ratings, being pulled because they can't beat GA State, then yes they will be worse. But we actually have to see if they can develop. Lord knows Bo got every chance despite repeated screw ups

Nix threw 61% last year so you’re a liar.

Calzada is in his third year in college and rocking a 55% passing percentage, negative rushing yards, and a steady diet of turnovers, and that’s your guy, because you’re naturally AUssbackwards guy.

Bo might’ve had 5 turnovers in 10 games, 350 touches last year. You don’t even know screwups yet honey.

Calzada had 5 turnovers in his first 5 games and wasn’t even close to done.

Well, buddy, both Calzada and Finley are in their 3rd years…and Ashford, too, if I’m not mistaken.

Corch... he brought up Steiner's good play 2 or 3 times, I get the impression he was waiting for him to step up and it sounds like the coach got what he wanted.

Bo Nix was pulled for TJ because he completed 49% of his passes vs GA State. This was in his 3rd season. I am not going to argue a 3rd year starting QB is heads better than anyone. I'll be patient and see if these younger guys can develop. We have all the info we need to say Bo is a slot WR.
