I mean this was right at the beginning of the school year so maybe he was bullshitting them

I will never forget that conversation because i thought it was hilarious. Never thought to fact check it because I don't know why they would lie

Besides, I was in Auburn around this time last year for a friend's birthday, and we were walking around where the bars are. He was hanging out with some more players, and this white guy was talking to him and like introducing him to other people. He was like, "This is RiCardo Louis, wide receiver from Miami. Etc..."

Look, he was just being a sketchball and that was their story for why. I just took them at their word. I also know from friends from Miami that there are neighborhoods that are near 100% black so it seemed like a plausible scenario.

I feel like an idiot now but I don't see how it is compeltely unreasonable to take people at their word. The explanation is a little too far fetched to be made up on the spot

Do you think Alabama would have Marshall as their QB?
Ummm...probably not. But not for the reasons you might think.

Of course, bad decisions like this are why Auburn is a dumpster fire of a program. I’ll have more on that tomorrow.
Can't wait.

Clint Trickett has all but locked up the starting job at WVU. Would of been nice to have for depth but doesn't look like we need him now with Marshall and JJ doing well

So you all wouldn't like to have him 3rd on the depth chart rather than Jonathan Wallace? Mmmkay

As far as Ricardo Louis goes he has the ability to do it all reverses underneath stuff and go vertical. I'm just not sure if the coaches will sit a vet in Travon Reed in order or Louis to play more.

I think we'll see Reed Bray and Denson mostly early in the year. I'd like it to be Coates, Louis, and Bray though...

I honestly don't remember us recruiting him. I just read "QB Clint..." and instantly knew I didn't want

How many teams actually saw their 3rd string QB play some serious minutes? It is well documented that Jonathan Wallace is a hard arse worker and good example for the team. Putting him yet another spot down is a bad example for the rest of the team. Regardless of his athletic ability, Jonathan Wallace has a ridiculous amount of respect on this football team. It is rare that you hear a true sophomore who doesn't have exceptional god given gifts held in that type of regard.

Oh, and keep in mind that you would bump him down the line for a guy who was too big of a pussy to accept a backup role at FSU

I don't see Clint Trickett at this point outperforming either JJ or NM considering what Gus wants to do and wouldn't have helped our long term prospects ergo waste of a scholly that a hard working walk on could have (and just) earned

Pretty much.

I hope you're wrong on this.

This staff better have the senioritis bug the last one did. Great teams play the best players. Period.

In my mind they proved it last year at Arky St. in letting a true freshman be the leading WR in what was already a prolific offense the year before. Their #2 and 3 WRS from 2011 returned in 2012 and stayed #2 and 3.

This staff is going to play whoever they believe will get the most production.
