I had a lot of hope for Delaine coming out of High School. Hopefully this is the opportunity he needs.

Dee Ford has a grade 2 MCL tear. He should be out a few weeks and will have to deal with the pain the remainder of the year.

So what you are saying is that dee takes a redshift year then we will have Daniels, Lawson and Ford in 2014

I hope that happens. The magical sixth year senior. Worked for Case Keenum

Dee had a medical redshirt approved so he still has a red shirt year so he just wouldn't play this year

Great, now he's going to deal with instability while trying to pivot or cut, and he could potentially tear it worse if it doesn't fully heal. Pain and swelling will probably affect him a lot as well. BTW, he's going to need about 3-4 weeks of rest to try to recover from this. And time is something we don't have right now.

regardless of whether a 1st redshirt is medical or natural a player still has to have an NCAA waiver approved to get a 6th year to play 4.

Took a redshirt last year, he'll have a chance to work his way into the rotation this year. I did expect to hear more from him though but the dude still have four football seasons to make an impact

I think he's got a good case for it if he does happen to miss the season. I guess we'll see

I hope Carl Lawson and Elijah Daniels can give us a little reminder of Quentin Groves and Antonio Coleman, only they end up better players.

Frick it, start Daniels on one end and Lawson on the other. They have more experience than Carter at the position

Freshman WR Marcus Davis, freshman RB Rudy Ford singled out by Lashlee as standout newcomers that can break into the two-deep.

#Auburn OC Rhett Lashlee said Marshall, Johnson and Wallace all took reps at quarterback today.
quote:

The Tigers have a two-a-day session later.

** Lashlee says all three quarterbacks took reps, and it was a good day.

** Auburn worked on some blitz pickup situations, and did some pass-scale, 7-on-7, let the younger guys.

** Today's scrimmage was much shorter than the other two.

** Right now, Lashlee says there's no part of the offense that either Nick Marshall or Jeremy Johnson runs better than any other.

** Lashlee says Marshall has been conscious of protecting the ball, didn't turn the ball over in the scrimmage and has protected it well.

** Lashlee says he does some key drills working on the quarterbacks keeping two hands on the ball at all times in the pocket.

** Turnovers are a problem of attention to detail, Lashlee said.

** Marshall's an older guy, two years older than the average kid coming out of high school.

** Lashlee adamant that the Tigers still have three guys in the race, but says he wants to see more reps from Marshall and Johnson.

** A big part of the decision will be trust in executing the game plan, whether it's a simple game plan or a complicated one.

** No timeline for the Tigers on the quarterback position.

** Lashlee praises Frazier for his work ethic, his response in the face of adversity and his willingness to help out the team, his selflessness.

** Any time you play a guy who's a true freshman, Lashlee says, you'll be anxious to see how they respond, particularly to adversity.

** Lashlee's looking for a guy who's pretty even-keeled.

** Early on, Marshall and Johnson's biggest learning curve was with the pace or the tempo, and Lashlee says it's been roughly a week since that was a problem.

** Tony Stevens is a guy the Tigers' coaching staff needs to see more of, Lashlee said. Feel like he's exactly what he's doing.

** At right tackle, Lashlee says he feels like Avery Young, Patrick Miller and Shon Coleman are all pretty good.

** On Wallace, Lashlee said he's responding like he thought he would.

** Lashlee harping on getting the newcomers reps if he could.

** Tunde Fariyike may be able to play other spots on the line, although he'll likely be the backup center to Reese Dismukes.

** Freshman receiver Marcus Davis has really stood out in the slot, impressed the Tigers, and Johnathan Ford at running back has done some really good things. Those two have shown the ability to stay calm in those big moments.

** Lashlee said the second scrimmage, he was pleased with Auburn's explosive plays.

** Lashlee says he's not sure he's going to play any faster than Auburn did last year, he's just going to try to play as fast as possible.

** On the offensive side of the ball, Lashlee wants to make practice "unrealistic." He wants to go faster than the Tigers would in the game. "Our philosophy is to make it extremely hard."

** The goal for the timing has changed on the snap. They want to be able to snap as soon as it's there.

** Johnathan Ford, nicknamed Rudy, as he gains pounds, it'll help him, "but he can run, and there's no fear."

** In the future, Lashlee's not sure if Frazier will play receiver, but athletically, he thinks the former quarterback could do that.
