Most college kids don't know all that much about taste. You just have to tell these kids to try to police themselves as much as possible, and if they can't, then it may come down to the coaches taking it away from them. I don't want it to get to that point, because they do need an outlet as an 18-22 year old, imo, and twitter, etc can provide that. The coaches and those involved with the team try to lead them in the right direction and hope they make good decisions.

I agree it's tasteless but that's up to them. If they want to do it, let them. And who cares if its misinterpreted? It doesn't really affect anything and the only people that are going to interpret that as "the player is getting paid" are ATPBers.

It just depends. If the player is good and the misinterpretation gets sensationalized by someone with a platform, it could turn into a distraction.

It isn't a big deal, just an unnecessary annoyance.

And if 23 is your source as usual he is 1 of the 5 I am referring to that have NM and KF in the top 2.

Sorry, I just got back but it is not 23 that is my source. This person works in the Ath. Dept. and was at the scrimmage as well as the practices. NM is having trouble with the playbook. KF has been much more consistent but still not great. JJ knows the playbook already and is closing the gap between he and KF. Like you said though, he is inconsistent though. But as a True FR he is already showing flashes of why everyone is so high on him. As of yesterday:
1) KF 2)a-NM b-JJ 4)JW
This doesn't mean KF will start against WSU, NM could catch on. He is hands down the best athlete we have, not just at QB but the whole team. My guy had picked NM to start the opener but has changed it to JJ...just sayin'. Don't shoot the messenger, please.

If all KF has as an advantage is knowing the playbook, NM or JJ will start, likely NM. There's still 3 weeks until the season. Like I've said all camp, I will believe Marshall is the starter until someone else is named by Gus.

Also, all the rumors are that Marshall and JJ showed up Frazier and Wallace in the scrimmage.

When's the last time you talked to him? Things seemed to have changed since then.

that doesn't make a whole lotta sense... per your ranking JJ is third, but he's predicted to start (per your source)?

He sent that yesterday morning. He did say Frazier didn't do himself any favors in the scrimmage. He picked JJ to start against Wazzu as he already has a firm grasp of the playbook and is gaining on the others fast.

I'm not saying that my guy is better than 23 or Bryan Matthews. I'm just relaying what someone that has been right more than 23 told me. I know 23 gets info but they can all be wrong just as well. If 23 was always right we would be discussing whether Tray Matthews and Shaq Wiggins would start along with Foster. And whether Derrick Green or Greg Bryant would get more carries this year. He did pick Roc Thomas to AU but he also said Brandon Harris was ALL IN as well. I listen to and read what all of them say. Then attempt to piece info together as to what is likely to happen. Recruiting and Depth Charts are both very fluid topics and what is 100% true today can be 100% Bull shite tomorrow!!

You know I love you E, I'm not trying to unseat you as you do way more research than I have time to. I just thought everyone would like to hear another opinion some times.

Your guy probably has good info. Last night Rivals reported that they think JJ is just behind Marshall and above Frazier and Wallace. So if JJ impresses once again in the scrimmage Saturday, he will be heavily considered by Gus

I wouldn't think JJ would start the opener but I won't be surprised if he does take over sometime during the season. My 3rd hand source was quite adamant about him being hands down the best passer on the team.

Not third but 2)b. He knows the playbook as well as Frazier but up until the scrimmage KF had been more cosistent. JJ is gaining on them at a pace that could force CGM to consider a true freshman as a starting QB.

Yeah definitely have no problem with reporting what you've heard.
