Look at their schedules. Carver played 3 quality teams in Auburn, Central, and Opelika. None were in the end season top 100 in the nation.
Carver played Opelika twice, prattville, Fairhope, and Spain Park.... have no idea how that compares to FL 3A, but outside of 6A Birmingham metro schools, that's gotta be one of the tougher schedules in the state.

quote:Prattville was embarrassing last year. We could not even make the playoffs in weak arse Region 4 #pathetic Spain Park was the worst and weakest Region winner in 6A last season. I know from first hand experience on those. Anyway it's not relevent to this thread so let's let it go no matter what the opinion is.

Back to practice and the upcoming season. I was just told The reason we are seeing so much about Holland is the Mike LB is struggling. They've gone live with practices, i.e. blitzing, and when we blitz, the Mike and Star are the keys and have to understand EXACTLY where their supposed to be against whatever formation. You heard about the explosive plays in he last scrimmage? Most of them came on a blitz where the Mike got caught in the wrong coverage. So basically even though Jake not a good LB he appears to be the only one at MIKE getting the D in the right plays and he gets where he is supposed to even though he struggles making plays.
The O has looked better than they expected, the Freshmen WR's are good, Quan is going to do big things, etc. The D is a work in progress.

JJ looks significantly more like a big time QB than the others, size wise.
Also, is the 2nd pic Gus with all the seniors?

What's the deal with coaches kids hair? Tuberville, Fisher, Van Gorder. They've all got fabulous, flowing long hair.
And look at Prosch's calf in that seniors picture. It's twice as big as anyone else's.

That inferior Alabama classification football sure has brought us some top talent E. I am sure JJ will find a way to translate his success onto the field and should he fail to do so, at least we have someone like White to look to.

That dude is a tank. I sure hope he goes out with a great season. The kid deserves it.

Probably camera angle or whatever, but NM looks just as tall as KF and a little taller than JW

Nick Marshall looks as tall as Kiehl Frazier in that pic too.

quote:Never said nor implied it was inferior. Just that competition has not a valid perspective when comparing JJ to SW. In hindsight I probably should not have said anything.

Is Kodi Burns helping with the QBs? If so
Let him help with the WRs.

back to practice talk... joey, it would be cool if you keep your OP updated with the most likely 2-deeps. We have some pretty good info on most of the positions.
