Phillip Marshall said yesterday that JJ is one of the most physical imposing true freshman that he's ever seen

Offensive line is pretty much set with the exception of RT and that could be Avery, Miller, or Coleman.

or Coleman.

There was a lot to like in those notes but some clunkers too.

Uhmm "...(W)ill be enhanced once McNeal returns"!? Uhg and SMH. Trouble on the back end.

And WRs average outside Quan...? Good for one of everybody's favorites in Quan, but I haven't heard one bad thing about Tony Stevens, and I've heard a lot about him.

Jake. Keep it up, dude. More power to you. Kick those retards Cass and Kris to the curb.

Shon. Going cynical here. Would be great PR if he "won" the job. Uncynically, would be awesome story.

Another clunker is that Marshell can't throw the damn ball where it should go, just like co-QB1 Keihl "I can't take my eyes off the ball" Frazier. Maybe we'll have that anomaly we all delightfully fear: a freshman QB in the SEC.

A couple of things to add to Aubie83's post from BM worth mentioning
-all 4 QBs inconsistent passing but improved over last week. NM & KH had best fall camps so far
-The one between Frost and Cass who progresses the most in their execution of the defense over the next couple of weeks will likely win one of the starting positions.

Jake Holland will start. The universe hates Auburn fans top much to not let it happen

When looking at the three RT candidates, physically Coleman is the most impressive... which is a truly amazing considering his circumstances and how hard he's had to work to get there.

I'd have no problem if he were to win that job... he's certainly got the size, athleticism, and has been the program for a while.

Love me some Hot Rod. For those of you who don't know wrestling if you knew how he sounded you would see how that is a perfect gif here.

if he's one of the the best two LBs, why would he not start?

bottom line is neither Cass or Frost are natural linebackers... that's not to say they can't develop it, but neither played the position in highschool and both are still early in their careers (especially CM).

My money's on Frost winning the other spot, along Holland.

Jake Holland does not look natural out there either. I am disappionted that he is the best we have. I am still holding out on Frost/Cass/Flowers combo choose 2

Shon is also not considerably different in terms of physical size/athleticism than Avery Young. Young is a monster athlete and his size reflects his natural ability

I didn't say Coleman was 'considerably' better... but he's still more physically impressive (that's my opinion).

the fact that Holland basically won his job back after missing the majority of spring in a brand new defense doesn't look good for the guys who actually went through spring.

look, I won't defend JH's play... it's been bad, just like the other 79 guys on scholarship. with that said, he has by far the most experience at the position.... He may not be a natural either, but he seems to know his assignments and can make the calls... with all things being equal, the guy who's got the expereince is usually gonna win out.

Both Kris Frost and Cass McKinzy played linebacker in high school, they just also played other positions.
