and an opportunity
His spring practice was his fair shake and opportunity. The kid fumbled on the first play of A-Day.
He gets credit for working hard and not giving up...that has never been questioned. It still doesnt change any facts that he is not capable of running an offense in the SEC.

Probably about the best summary for him.

Cam played like garbage during his spring game. Until a starter is named, I believe he should get an opportunity to compete.

I'm not quite sure how you can make that assumption based on the fact that Loeffler/Chizik were not running a SEC offense and he was a FRESHMAN. Wallace had one of the most impressive true freshman years in the history of the SEC and THE most impressive one in Auburn history despite all the negative factors playing against him.
The fact that he outplayed a former starter that helped lead us to 8-5 as well as a former USA Today HS Offensive player of the year top 100 Rivls 4* who definitely was recruited by big time SEC programs (which seems to be important to you depending on what your argument is), has to say something. Especially since he did thi as a fricking freshman.
I will be disappointed if Nick Marshall doesn't start. I want him to start because I believe that he is the best chance we have for a good to great season due to his game changing type ability.
I just don't understand what the metric for measurement of Jonathan Wallce is.Jonathan Wallace was a true freshman who entered Auburn 30 pounds underweight and came from a run first spread system taht was a completely different style than Loeffler's prostyle.
Who would ever think that a QB meeting those specifications would ever be gamechanging win games type QB? He is still learning
According to past experience and statistics, Jonathan Wallace should have been HORRIBLE. Considering his lack of physical gifts, change of system and being a true freshman, every other situation that fits those characteristics resulted in a HUGE bust. Jonathan Wallce played average games and did not make mistakes. I just am surprised people don't like him more due to the fact that he outplayed history

I saw him in the spring and he was way bigger than the twig he was in the fall.
Hopefully he's stopped throwing the ball like a shotput like he did in the Spring game.

Wut? Jonathan Wallace would be at Florida Int. or South Alabama if we wouldn't have offered and I doubt he would be starting there.

Pretty sure he's talking in regards to quarterback efficiency (hence the Auburn comment).
But nitpicking arguments like that is cool, I guess

Sometimes I get excited about this upcoming season and sometimes people post links to the spring game.

When is practice supposed to start today? Can't wait for King to knock some people around and NicK MarshEll to end the QB battle

4:00pm is what my practice schedule shows.

correct... reporters will be present for the first 20 minutes... we'll probably have videos and pics of warmups and drills, like yesterday.

Easy. The WR obviously owed Frazier money, was banging his girlfriend, or both.

So the point still stands that if the best QB in generations couldn't put up numbers in the spring game and a spectacular performance, why should we expect it from Jonathan Wallace, a guy transitioning offenses who is not as talented as Cam?

Most impressive true freshman QB years. Don't see how you people could possible think i was talking about all the positions. Doesn't take a genius to realize I was missing a position in there
I stand by my statement that Jonathan Wallace could be an effective Chris Todd caliber QB in our system, potentially even more effective as he has better mobility
