Kind of funny when you put it that way.

O/U 50 touches for Grant for the entire season?

Under. One of Barber or Ford will steal some carries. The way I look at it, if Tre is used in the McCalebb role some like he was his freshman year, Barber will get some. But if he's only used as the main back with CAP, then Ford could get some. Also, Bray will get a few on those reverses that Grant could run

Grant is just really fast in a straight line, but has no elusiveness or tackle-breaking ability. CAP is a natural RB.

From what people on the team relayed to me last year and my analysis/interpretation of things in retrospect, Corey Grant is the type of guy that had he played in say the Sun Belt would be the #1 rusher and huge deal. Against high levels of competition, his size is not big enough to be the power back he wants to be. He doesn't have lateral movement skills which kills him

Have you ever seen a player start so many games as a redshirt freshman fall back on a depth chart like this?

One has been in a college program for 3 years, and only got a couple carries last season.

The other is just now getting his shot, but ran for 2000+ yards in JUCO.

There's a reason Grant is listed as a WR now

Justin Vincent at LSU comes to mind.

I'll be amazed if he is starting...

I mean, he has experience and size, but he can't pull in Gus Malzahn's offense. He's too slow. It sucks too, because he's one of those guys I could see becoming a great leader.

Only 4 players had over 50 touches between Rushing and Receiving last year. One of them was Jonathan Wallace, since sacks count as rushing attempts.

In 2011, 3 players had over 50 combined touches, with one of them being Frazier out of the Wildcat.

In 2010, 6 players had over 50 combined touches. Not counting Cam, 3 RBs had over 50 combined touches (Dyer, OMac, Fannin), and Terrell Zachary had 43 Receptions and 11 Rush attempts.

2010 also had 14 games, skewing the stats a little... 50 touches is a lot for someone who's probably not starting.

#Auburn DC Ellis Johnson: Kris Frost is having a "good camp".... Cassanova McKinzy has lost weight, change of direction "a lot better."

@JHokanson 2h

#Auburn DC Ellis Johnson on 'stars' Justin Garrett and Robenson Therezie: "I don't know how many more talented kids we've got, physically."

@JHokanson 1h

#Auburn DC Ellis Johnson on Carl Lawson and Elijah Daniel: "I think they'll be really good players. They've shown some impressive things."

@JHokanson 1h

#Auburn DC Ellis Johnson: "Joshua Holsey is one of our sharper, smarter players." Holsey cross-training safety and corner.

@JHokanson 1h

#Auburn freshman Mackenro Alexander working at 'star' linebacker.

@JHokanson 1h

#Auburn OC Rhett Lashlee on QBs: "The last two days, it's starting to slow down for them." Pleased with new guys' attention to detail.

@JHokanson 1h

#Auburn OC Rhett Lashlee on WRs: "Inconsistency." Did single out Quan Bray as being consistent and a leader.

Posting again to correct me only makes me more mad

I give this a day or two of giving you a hard time before it gets stale

Also, surprised nobody has brought this gem of a quote over
quote:

On Harding and King: "Brandon being older ... has been much quicker to pick things up and play better. They're going to be really good players. (Harding) could end up at star. He could be a linebacker in a couple years."

I always thought Harding was huge. At 6' 220+ as a freshman, the kid could definitely find his way into some LB roles

Especially a slot guy who's assumed specialty is reverses. I really hope we don't run 5-7 reverses a game

So we're just going to ignore the roundabout way he ended up in JUCO? He's 22 years old... I'm sure Grant would have put up those numbers in JUCO. As a 21 year old.

It was a funny way to word it as neither has proved jack squat in this league ("played a significant snap" in your own words). Calm your britches.
