He's never been able to hold down the job. This is why I think Carter is just there by default until Lawson or Daniel takes it over.

He hit his ceiling as a freshman. He's not quick enough to pass rush, but he was developed enough physically to be decent in run support as a freshman, which is why he played

what's the deal with him. He gets tons of praise then never gets on the field.

With the praise Ellis Johnson gave him in the spring, I doubt he is just there by default. I'm thinking early on in the season Lawson will come in on passing downs.

I like that DC still rocks the mid '90's style AU hat:

I remember that party where I kept telling Nosa he was going to be a great linebacker. Boy was I hammered. Point of the story was I wasn't that overly impressed with him at DE and he was a freshman. Not saying it was a I told you so, but it seems like he just never developed after his freshman season...Chizik

Doesn't help that he goes downtown more than anyone. I don't think I have ever been to 17 during the school year and not seen him. He is fun though He is a role player that is strong in run support as you point out. He had a couple sacks freshman year that made people think he could rush the passer not realizing those were more a factor of Blanc & Fairley taking so much attention

I think he'll get a little less carries than CAP. Remember Grant was getting way more praise than CAP in the spring, but he had to sit out of the Aday game due to sickness. Had he not been sick we could very well be talking about him like we are CAP.

Yeah, dude has been in 1716 every single time I've visited Auburn.

I've heard he's a pretty cool guy, though.

Completely disagree. CAP will get 150+ carries. I don't see Grant getting more than maybe a touch per game.

He's gotten praise ever since he got here. And hasn't played a significant snap. He's nowhere close to CAP. From what I can tell and what I've read, Grant is just really fast in a straight line, but has no elusiveness or tackle-breaking ability. CAP is a natural RB.

Was that way last year. The kid is a workout warrior and solid backup. Split will probably be somewhere along the lines of 175 - 130/150 - 50/60
Of RB1 - 2 - 3

Nosa is a badass. He is hilarious. I don't know him too well but he is relaly good friends with a number of mutual friends. I don't have a problem with him going out so much but I also don't see it helping

Fun stories about Nosa

1- Chizik & Co tried to fix his walk- anyone who knows or has seen Nosa knows that he walks like this

This walking style was supposedly causing him significant back problems (may affect play who knows) so the coaching staff was putting him through physical therapy to learn how to walk like a normal human being.

2- Nosa cannot swim. Friend used to date him and she took him to the Martin Aquatics center to teach him. Said that she never has seen someone "just not float" and that she tried to teach him to float and he would sink like a rock
