Considering Dee Ford is hurt, Kenny Carter doesn't provide pass rush and LO/Sanders have yet to live up to their pass rush ability, this highly doubtful.

Lawson is just a freshman and while great, just like Clowney, his dominant years likely won't be as a freshman, he just will be a good pass rusher relative to the SEC. Also, he doesn't make an entire unit

Highly unlikely we wreck havoc on QBs. More likely we get average pressure from our DEs as a whole

People need to stop jizzing all over freshman and coachspeak about player's ability until they perform. There is a huge difference between vastly improved and dominate/wreck havoc

Our fanbase follows some absurd pendulum in terms of optimism and pessimism. We hear one good or bad report and our season goes from 0-12 to 14-0. Few people ever stop in the middle there

Also, people don't understand when a coach says postive things about a freshman, it is typically that they are doing better than they expect for a freshman, not relative to SEC players

Does Nortizzle need to have a talk with you about your Posi Barner status?

It has been revoked

I need a RealisticBarner sig showing Brandon Cox and a 9-4 record in the background.

I agree. We will probably see the short, quick passing game from the Pirate to negate any pressure that we apply. That is what alot of teams have hurt us bad on the past couple of seasons. But we have a new defensive staff down there and hopefully they will be ready for it. Auburn fans have a habit of super-hyping players and recruits before they actually perform. Alot of those players never live up to that hype and I am not referring to C. Lawson. We have had alot of players on offense and defense over the past 3-4 years that fit into that category. If you read message boards they are made out to be super-studs before they actually perform and alot of them never live up to the expectations. The proof is in the pudding. I could list several examples but most of you that do not wear orange and blue shades 24/7 know what and who I am talking about.

WSU OLine article

Article a bout the progress of Washington State's line. Obviously bias and positive but they should be better than last year.

Considering we have been on average in the top 10 of recruiting rankings compared to our performance, not too hard to see how our players havne't lived up to the hype. Outside 2010, we hvae not been a top 25 team (fringe maybe) so clealy they havne't lived up to the hype

Amen brother. Count me in the realisticbarner crowd. It is what it is. I am hopeful that this coaching staff can challenge the players to live up to that hype and finally perform to their abilities. Show it on the field. If it doesn't happen, maybe that ability was never there to start with. Part of it goes back to good evaluation during the recruiting process and then development. You can't win the Kentucky Derby if your riding a mule.

This is pretty much how I see it. Perhaps 7-5 if we can't manage to win one we shouldn't.

I think we can get to nine wins. We may surprise a couple of others with a close game as well, and perhaps an upset. One thing is for sure, if we can pull 9 or 10 wins out this year--watch out next year! 13 days can't get here fast enough!

I have done called this. With what everybody in the West is losing in 2014 Auburn will be 2014 SEC West Champs.

If our QB situations works out very favorably and assuming we don't how anyone go pro, this doesn't seem too far fetched.

QB, RBs, WRS and 4/5 starters on the OLine return

3/4 DTs (plus Monty), 1/2 DE, the good LB and now all DBs return

We should have a solid 17-18 starters and another 8-10 contributors returnings
