He was a solid tackler. But you know good and damn well you held your breath when the ball went to his side of the field.

And that's different from the majority of our DBs over the years how?

Fine, I get it. Neiko didn't hit his potential at Auburn.

All I was really getting at was I'm looking forward to Smoke having a bigger role in the defense.

I'll say this, remember Neiko had like 5 picks as a freshman? Then Ted Roof came in and it all went to crap?

Neiko was great in the other system. Just not Roof's. He was 6'2 with good ball skills and a great tackler. Like a poor mans Richard Sherman. He should have been in a Cover 2 or a Cover 3 Scheme. Just so happens that Seattle runs a Cover 3.

Fit matters in the NFL. He fits.

Neiko Thorpe got burned more than any CB i have ever seen in my entire life. He was quite possible the worst CB/S to ever play at Auburn and yet

I know hyperbole is fun and all but this needs to be reeled in just a bit. He was good sometimes and not so good other times. Let's just leave it at that.

As bad as Ted Roof was, Auburn probably wins the NC with him as DC in 2013. Cause Ellis Johnson was doo doo.

Um no. No revision necessary. That would be like saying Jake Holland was good sometimes and not so good sometimes.

Justin Osborne stepping up at LT and RT is huge for us.

Sounds like Bell came in way out of shape. But Bell is working at OC/OG and Key Jones at OG.

Pretty sure he was a lot arrival wasn’t he? So basically he was lazy over the spring/summer and didn’t do the workouts he was told to do, and ate like shite. There is always a few each class that come in overweight like that

Bell missed about the whole summer trying to get cleared. He didn’t seem particularly “fit” to begin with either

Said he's not worried about Boobee losing his starting spot, but Joiner has been really pushing. I figured DJ Williams would be the #2 guy. Maybe not

Caddy deserves a lot of credit if Joiner is pushing for RB2 and Malik Miller becomes useful.

If this happens, Caddy should win the Broyles Award

Nieko was a much better nfl player than a college one.

I've gotta say, I've definitely liked him a lot more since he left Auburn

But he wasn't nearly as bad for us as people made him out to be at the time. The times he got burned terribly just stick out a lot more than him being good in run support, and people don't remember he had a good senior year bc the 2011 team sucked
