It was cancelled yesterday. Same result for today’s scrimmage as well.

Malzahn has been holding his presser on Saturday so we will know soon.

If it has been 3 days now without a scrimmage I wonder if that is part boycott support and Covid?

Well......

Let’s ok then... we don’t have the info now but hopefully Gus speaks today and is able to share some information about what is going on.

I did see a tweet by Pappoe yesterday that was something to the effect of supports us on the field and kill us in the streets.

How about some real football talk.

Are we sticking with this garbage zone blocking or will we switch back to man blocking under CM and Bicknell?

I swear zone blocking has been out downfall in the run game. We used to get Isom and Berry out as lead blockers, now we can't open any holes it seems.

Gus has pretty much always used zone. But he used a very simplified version to cater to what they like for recruiting. Hoping that changes

When is Gus meeting with the media?

Media: Why has practice been cancelled for the past few days?

Gus: Well, we have had a spike in cases among our guys and everything that goes along with that.

Media: When will you practice again?

Gus: Well, the team has decided to have a march tomorrow for social justice. I think that is great and I support it. We will be back at it on Tuesday.

Media: Is it wise to have a march or protest with a spike in cases amongst your team?

Gus: (head explodes)

I know very little when it comes to OL, but were we running a zone scheme in 2013?

We run a multiple blocking scheme depending on the play. We run a lot of man blocking and zone blocking. Like I said depending on the play. We use pulling guards and inside traps a lot

Gus’ presser things I remember.

9 positive tests those players will be out 17 days.

The other 7 will be tested and possibly be back after 10 days.

Couple position groups were thin because of it.

DJ was back to practice this week.

Meetings Thursday, practice Friday, scrimmage Saturday all canceled because of the Blake shooting.

The goal for this upcoming week- Gus answer was to practice

Asked about TEs and Chads use of the TE. Last year at Arky Chad targeted the TE the second most in the country. They have some 2TE and 3TE sets.

Running backs will be more involved in the pass game.

SEC hasn’t given guidance on a plan if a team feels they don’t have enough players to compete.

Getting back to using the TE in the passing game is what makes it move the most.

Agree the TE needs to be a threat, when you look back to 2010 and 2013 there were big plays that might have changed the season by the TEs

I think Frazier and Pegues will be very good.

I think Harris could have been. He had 2 catches for 2 TDs one year, then was used sparingly the rest of his time at AU.
He transferred as a GT to Colorado and caught more passes and yards than he did in 3 years at Auburn, even though they had another TE catch 23.

For some reason, we just didn't use the TEs much in Gus offense the last few years.

Looking forward to an OC that uses all his weapons, and doesn't telegraph his offensive plan so much.

It's not the last few years, it's always. Its part of the poor foundation of Gus' offense, I've been bitching about it for a decade. He does not attack the middle of the field, which makes his passing attack super easy to defend in most cases. He want to run the ball then throw deep passes along the sideline, that pretty much it. And it has not evolved. Took him until the UGA game last year to finally throw some slants.

Jay G Tate said earlier this morning that Coynis Miller got heated with an AC at practice that was dogging him over his effort. Miller was sent home.

Tate said his sources think Miller will be dismissed.

Jboy is now tweeting about it but Tate’s information.
