Well even without the drama, his tenure at Maryland was a disaster.

stop bringing up Maryland. Since 1986, Maryland has had ONE HC with a winning record. Maryland doesn't put money into their football program. You can't tell how good any HC is when they are somewhere that winning doesn't matter.

IF it's Durkin, so be it. I have seen the O look the best it has in over three years in just two weeks. His D is the best I have seen at Auburn in yearssssssss.

Mike Locklsey has been there for 7 seasons now and has produced two 8-win seasons and a 7-win season.

Durkin was fired after year 2 and his team regressed from year 1 to year 2.

Nobody is arguing that he should have won a national championship at Maryland. But a good HC should at least be able to make it through 4-5 seasons and post a winning season or two. I don't consider Locksley to be an amazing HC and yet he has 3 winning seasons there.

Locksley is 37-46 at Maryland. That is a losing record any way you try and spin it.

They are 4-7 this year.

Yeah, cause much like DJ Durkin, Locksley isn't a great head coach. And nobody will be running out to hire Locksley as head coach after he goes somewhere as an OC for a little bit.

Nobody has any idea if Durkin is a good HC or not...........that is the point.

I have been watching Auburn for over 50 years. I have seen our bunch look much better the last two weeks than they have looked in five or six years.

I don't know if Durkin would be a good HC. Just like I don't know if Sumrall would be a winner at the top level. I have seen the "hot mid-major HC" fall flat on his face on many occasions. I am just not one to freak out over what I think may happen in the future. I am willing to wait and see. I am not some junior high schoolgirl though.

How is Ashford doing? Did he become an All-American yet?

Does it matter that Maryland lost their starting qb in their first game. A game they beat Texas 51-41 and then lost their backup in game 3 and finished 4-8. He may not work out but saying because he couldn't turn Maryland around in 2 years after losing 2 qbs isn't telling the true story

He won more games than Auburn did this year. Any more questions, or do you want to continue your retarded take that Durkin isn’t just another loser coach that will be fired in a few years?

I have no idea if he is a good HC or not. IF he is our next HC, we will find out.

I am not shilling for Durkin. I am just not being a pansy arse about the
possibility he may be hired.

I am brining up the fact that because of your constant Ashford takes, you should probably sit out any discussion on anything..........evar.

Only retards like yourself keeps bringing up a player that has been gone for 2 years, because you can’t defend your terrible take that Durkin won’t be another disaster hire.

The game versus Vanderbilt was by far our worst defensive showing of the season.

It wasn't good, but Pavia has made a lot of D's look bad.

Nobody has a clue if Durkin would be a good HC here. IF he is hired, we will find out. I just don't get all the whining and bitching. IF he is hired and isn't successful, we will hire somebody else. Maybe we get it right this time? Maybe we get it right next time? Maybe it's just my age. I am not going to freak out about something I have zero control over........whether it's with a HC or with 18-23 year old kids.
