Just spitballing as to who would help Bo continue his development.

Gus has no history of developing a QB from HS to the NFL draft.

It seems like our OC is leaving.

Would it make sense for Coach Patrick Nix to join the current staff?

My bold prediction: the next game Pat Nix coaches will be inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.

I’d worry about a father-son / coach-QB scenario. Even in little league that can caused a rift between some players and coaches, fans because of perceived favoritism

I forgot about that.

You’re right, it is a rule.

I think there is a two year window type clause. You can hire a HS coach, but you can't recruit that school for 2 years, and you can't hire him if you have a commited recruit from his HS the previous 2 years. Someone with more knowledge my clarify.

As long as he come in as an on the field coach it is allowed. He cannot he brought in as an analyst or any other off the field position for at least 2 years before or after a player from his high school team signs with AU.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Patrick Nix become a candidate for the Georgia Tech HC job now that Paul Johnson is retiring.

Nix has some history at Tech. GT isnt going to be able to hire some top flight expensive talent.

More likely as OC if he makes the jump at all.

I thought they created a rule that prevents this from happening now.
