I live no where close to Columbus. I live in the bham metro area. And I like you fine Tastey.

I’m going to make a couple calls tonight to see if I can find out some inside info on what is going on at QB recruiting. If they have any info

Last I heard we were going to make one more serious RUN at Juju, but if that didn’t work we’d move to Deuce and Lacey. Theyre 1a/1B.

I think if we could change Auburn from signing good HS QBs to great QBs it would get Auburn off the up and down rollercoaster of seasons they always seem to have.

P.S. I want Juju

I like Deuce's tape just as much as juju's. I think it's splitting hairs between them, but I think they're both better than Lacey. (I still think Lacey is solid)

Lacey I just have concerns long term as a QB in college with his size. Juju isn’t large by any means, but Lacey makes Pat White look big. He is a phenomenal athlete and player, but it’s a concern I definitely have about him.

That’s partly why I like deuce more. 6’4 215 vs Lacey’s 5’11 175.

I don’t follow recruiting as close as some, but why is this far fetched and automatically assumed to be a homer by saying it? After a quick search, it looks like both were similarly ranked during their recruiting cycles.

Ok had a couple conversations.

What I was told to me about what happened at the beginning of the week. Auburn reached out to the Lewis team wanting some assurances like committing to coming to big cat and making a flip to AU by August. The Lewis camp didn’t want to make those assurances. They in counter wanted some assurances such as guaranteed playing time as a true freshman. Not necessarily the starter but getting playing time. Auburn responded that they can’t make that guarantee. So we are where we are in that. We will continue to recruit Juju.

Other QB discussion…

Longstreet was the number 1 QB on the staff’s board. We lost the NIL battle in that one. The staff pivoted to Juju.

The staff sees Juju as a more college ready QB because of decision making and throwing accuracy over KJ and Deuce. They see Deuce as a bang or bust type QB prospect. He has the highest ceiling of the 3 QBs. Biggest arm, biggest body, best athlete but fundamentally has more to clean up then KJ and Juju. KJ they like his arm talent with a couple fundamental changes think he can be just as talented as Juju as far as accuracy and may even have a stronger arm. Plus they like the “gamer” moxie that he appears to play with in high school.

The staff will recruit all 3 equally as of now. First in the boat the staff will be happy. The staffs evaluation has all 3 very closely rated but Longstreet was the big jewel in the staffs ratings.

Other QB discussion. The staff feels that Hank will jump Holden in fall camp and be the number 2 behind Thorne.

Maybe that clears up the juju stuff some. Nothing nefarious or any strong arming on either side. Just can’t get on the same page.

Pretty consistent with the On3 board so that’s nice.

Seems like a straight forward situation at QB

Apparently Deon & CU have a 10 million NIL deal for JuJu?

If 10 million were out there then I would have already flipped a long time ago to CU. If that’s the market for a QB that has never taken a college snap… I might have to stop watching in rebellion to this shite show of college athletics

I’m sure that’s where it’s headed for a QB eventually. Sorta skeptical it’s now, and for Juju

Either way it seems like CU has an offer on the table that he likes

Recruiting is difficult to predict (as we all know), but my belief has been and still is that JuJu actually ends up at Colorado... Daddy has been sold that Prime can pay and develop the entire team around JuJu. Said this at least 6 weeks ago, not changing now.

Well this was confirmed today.
