I agree. Just hoping there is a way to turn it around.

Same. It's all over the country, but it is very noticeable at Auburn. I've seen some good and bad Auburn teams, but the culture of this team is not what I remember that it used to be. I'm all in for CHF but as much as more wins I want to see a team that doesn't play down or lose to teams that have no reason to play us close

Freeze hasn’t preached culture. He’s preached -we need more 5*’s and that’s what he’s spending most of his time on right now.

He has never acted like this team was ‘worthy’ yet. It’s the problem with trying to convince fans to be patient. You got a whole team of players laying their bodies on the line every day and you aren’t 100% involved in game plan or play calling each week because you’re out getting better players. Better learn to do both or the culture is doo doo.

None of that may be true but how it feels to me. So I’m not going to blame a couple guys trying to avoid injury as most are trying to make the league and an injury this late would kill that dream when you’re a borderline player.

Culture change needs time as well.

Just from the rumors I’ve heard it was Var and Omari that was fricking off the most on the offensive side of the ball. Missing meetings, late to fricking practices, late to class.

Maybe that’s who Fairweather was referencing when he said we have to get ride of some of the loose ends.

I get this sense too. We all knew recruiting was the first area that needed to be fixed after Harsin’s tenure. But it feels like we took a pass on this season and selectively prepared for UGA and Alabama. Freeze needs to put more trust in the people around him so we’re not neglecting game planning or preparation. Or find people he can trust, he can’t do everything.

That’s the big problem with NIL collectives. They can’t be pay for play.

They could put some kind of “character” clause that stipulates you have to make the University look good, or at least not embarrass it.

Apparently only some of us realized what the team was going through health wise. Thorne was at one practice before they left for Nashville. During an outing just before the game, there an outing where two didn’t leave the hotel.

The uniformed would rather birch and moan.

Nothing crushes you physically like a bug and demands that you be 100%. Mentally, you are just not there.

I felt bad about the game until I learned that many of the players have the flu. A few played anyway which amazes me. I am recovering from the flu and for a week or so it was all I could do to walk to the bathroom. I couldn't have run with a football if the devil himself had been after me.

Did not know that... Maybe that explains the poor performances.

Biggest failure of the season. I thought we were on the right path after the Georgia game but has declined since.

I was in the stands when a similar loss to #1 UGA was followed by an historic victory in the Iron Bowl 2 weeks later.

Didn't go quite the same way this year.

A soul crushing loss sandwiched between 2 embarrassing blowout losses.

*Did the team have 'the flu' for New Mexico State too?
