LSU struggled with the Chiz last year. We have a shot. I could see 5-1 being a real possiablity.

I think AU beats LSU in a close one, but drops the Ole Miss game.

LSU lost a lot, but AU will need to improve a lot to have a chance.

Looking at the schedule, we could be 6-0 but will likely be 5-1 and after playing FAU we may not win another game that season.

A question for those who see Auburn winning 7+ games...............Who do you see playing quaterback and how well do you see him doing???

To me the success or lack thereof depends on if the problems of the team is talent, discipline, or a combination of both. If all this team needed was a kick in the arse and direction we might do okay. If not than we will be in for a long season. Also, what magic can Malzahn pull from his hat at QB? If we have QB play like 2012, we are in trouble.

better chance of going 4-2 than 6-0... we haven't won in BR since 99 -- gerry dinardo was still coaching LSU at that time (let that sink in for a minute).

We need to split the home games with OM and MSU... win the OOC games and get to 5-3... gotta split the @Ark/@UT games to get to 6 wins.

The main goal for 2013 needs to be to get to 6 wins and show improvement against the top teams in the conference -- A&M, UGA, LSU, Bama. In other words, follow Freeze's blue-print at Ole Miss.

Sux that we have to try and follow the path laid out by Ole Miss, but that's what Chizik left us.

I see us winning 7 (maybe more) games. Not sure who the qb will be, but I base this on what Malzahn did with Todd when he first came in. Only question mark is going to be defense and how soon EJ can get them playing well.

We have the talent to win 7. We should have won 6 this year - 3 losses were by a TD or less - LSU, Clemson and Vandy. We just couldn't move the ball. Next year that won't be a problem.

I still think Ole Miss and MSU are very winnable games next season. I think we will be 5-1 going into that A&M game. Maybe it's because I want to believe it but I just feel like next season we knock off someone we aren't supposed too like in 2011 (South Carolina). Arkansas and Tennessee don't scare me either. My super homer prediction is 9-3 with us knocking off either LSU or UGA but my more realistic opinion is 7-5.

The most important games will be MSU, OM, Ten, and Ark. If we go 4-0 in those then we got a chance at finishing pretty decent. We just can't go 0-4 like this season

I don't feel great about Ole Miss, but we do get them at home with an off week before. OM will be playing Bama in Tuscaloosa then come to AU.

And if you look at all the folks LSU is losing to the draft, it makes me feel a little better about going to BR.

It's way too early to tell... OM and MSU have returning QBs... I realize neither Wallace or Russell are 1st round draft picks, but they're experienced players with good play-makers around them.

I don't trust our QB situation at all... if someone steps up, we COULD be a 7 or 8 win team... if they don't, we could easily be a 4 or 5 win team.

Call me cray cray, but with the JUCO guys, our D should be much improved. CGM can make JWall into an average QB. With that and our RBs (assuming Blakely has a good year with Tre), we'll be a good team. No reason to expect ~8 wins going into a bowl game.

Yes, but we could also be 1-5.

I'd pump the brakes a little.... spring practice is two months away... there are going to be several players who leave the program over the next six months or so (history suggests that anyway).

We should be better, but so should the teams that we consider "winnable" games -- Ark, UT, OM, MSU(maybe). And the teams that we were distroyed by aren't gonna drop to the point where we have a realistic shot at beating them (IMO) -- LSU, Bama, UGA, A&M.

So many questions surrounding our team and what this staff really has to work with. I agree with what you posted.

I hate that we start with Washington State and Arkansas State. Those are two dangerous OOC games to start the season.

If JJ or JW gets the nod, yes its possible. With KF on the other hand, no.

In Death Valley?

I'd love for that to happen, not banking on it at all.
