In not gonna like, I had to look up Mumbai. Wasn't exactly sure where that was.

Reposting this highly detailed image for prosperity. I personally think I may be constipated and need good vibes.

How about I send you some extra hot red chili powder. Just a little bit and you will be dropping lava logs in no time.

Excited to go to Vegas for this Christmas break and take some road trips into the desert, by far one of my favorite activities.
Love the desert out west.

There are very few things in this world that I hate more than the smell of curry. I dont know if I could survive over there.
Enjoy your time off. Sounds like you go pretty hard at work. When I graduated, I worked for a Japanese company and did a lot of trips over there. As cool as that place was, I really did not enjoy those trips at all. I had just got married and just didnt like being gone for 3-4 weeks at a time.
Now I love traveling but Im bringing the wife with me everytime and there is probably going to be a beach close by

I thought I would have had a great time there. Just never did. Probably need to try again.

Best thing about Vegas is the Grand Canyon. The rest of it sucks.

Did a walk about spending part of a severance, kind of like the aboriginal Australians, spent 5 1/2 months trekking the Rockies from south to north. Following the snow melt, climbing, and paddling.
So upon getting to Lost Vegas I drive down the main strip, nothing but derelicts, whores, drunks, and tattoos.. big arse sign of two Mormon kids caught my attention (Donny and Marie) and I thought what the hell are they doing here.... same with me.
Drove down and turned around making the same drive out of town. Never came back.. felt the same way about Tahoe. Two loose quarters in my pocket went in a slot machine so I could say yep done that too.

We flew in there for the 2010 National championship game. Stayed a few days, drove down to Hover damn for a while then down to Flagstaff for two days. Drove up to the should rim and basically worked around in the car, getting out on occasion. Was cold AF and we were not equipped for it. Had a great time anyway.
FYI, the Embassy suits in Flagstaff has a excellent happy hour. Highly recommend it.
Then drove down to Glendale for the winning.
Vegas just probably is not my place. Im not a big gambler and everything else was just annoying. I get how people could get out of control there though.

I'm probably being too critical and painting with too wide a brush. There's lot of things of interesting things in town with all the good food and entertainment. My friends all use it as grown up base camp and do excursions venturing out and back in again. Lot's to do and see without going very far.
Been all around but I felt like Jed Clampit in Beverly Hills.

I live in Vegas (not my choice, military). It isn’t my cup of tea. Much prefer the surrounding areas. My kids love Mount Charleston and Red Rock Canyon for hiking. There are some good sporting events here so that’s neat. I’m going Tuesday to see Alabama take on Houston and I had some offers for free tickets to F1 but I’m not into that. Outside of sporting events/concerts/work functions I don’t go downtown. Moving back to Florida next year and I can’t wait to get back to the south.

Area?
I get the allure of Vegas and I am sure it can be a blast. We did a show there and went to a few of the big casinos but all in all, I think two or three days there is all I need.

We are having a "friendsgiving" today at our house. My wife and I are both working all week next week and dont have any family down here. A lot of our friends here are transplants as well or dont have families so we are doing it today.
I am going to put the turkey on the smoker around 12 and we will have football on all day. Maybe 20 people so it should be a blast.
Had some bushes that we had planted back in the summer when we had the entire yard finally die and I had them replaced this week. They were Birds of Paradise and they just got too much water this year. Dug them up and I replaced them with some triple pygmy palms and could not be happier. Really gave our pool area a better tropical look. Early next spring, I will put some kind of ground cover under them, just not sure what. I have one of these in the front yard and it is easy to take care of and looks great.
Hopefully these will give us a little privacy and a nice tropical look as they grow together.
