Coaches always bring over people they’re familiar with. The difference this time is manifold. For one thing, they can find the Atlanta airport.

I think he was a splash for a lot of the fans and boosters.

Not sure about him being a splash right away with recruits, but I think he will get there.

A splash hire like a turd falling in the toilet.

I wanted to post this, when I first read it, but, saw the page count, and was worried the discussion had moved beyond it... I'm close enough to the end, now, to ask aloud, "what in the actual frick were you thinking"

Depends how you define splash. He's a good hire. Dominated the presser. Everything else is wait and see

The commercial made me feel like I was back in Seattle eating fresh caught salmon. The fish was obviously market fresh, I think the side of pancakes got me.

I'm hoping they add crab cakes and lump crab meet omeletes back to the menu this spring

As someone else mentioned Indiana is probably due to the Tom Allen connection and the Ole Miss situation. UCF was probably a case of him knowing Gus through Hugh.

Obviously at those schools he's not going to get the same player he could get at Ole Miss, but if you look at the players he did have and the production he still did a really good job with what he had... Seems like a pretty good (But not elite) recruiter who is also a pretty good coach. I would love to see VAR become a Ryan OKeefe for us.

Probably too big of an ego?

I’m not confused why he was at Indiana and UCF. I’m confused why, after those receivers, he’s not other places. That said, their loss is our gain, IMO

I shouldn't be talking about food crimes

I used to eat tuna out of the can and dilute milk with water when I was 12

We hired a guy that begged for the job and that no one else wanted. Don’t kid yourself.

This will be the first coach getting pushed the right direction by the PTB instead of being pulled in the wrong direction by them.

He wanted this job, had been talking to us for weeks, so we would he have gotten other offers? There are worse paying jobs than Liberty to sit at until the right job comes.

Let me give you some insight. You would need to be more worried if Gumps said we nailed the hire than shite like nobody wanted him

Any of y’all have a dad who loved grocery store pimento cheese (which I’m obsessed with now) and Vienna sausages in those tiny arse cans? Is anyone that dad?
