I do find it weird we’re filling up staff before Coordinators though

Programs replace coordinators all the time without wiping out the staff on that side of the ball.

It’s really only with new staffs that we find this strange.

My guess is they know who the coordinators are going to be and are getting the okay from them on position coaches before they’re announced. Maybe the coordinators are still coaching for CGs or CFP but don’t want distractions?

Just more evidence Freeze knows who it is already. Have to wonder if they might be coaching this week and we are just keeping it quiet so its not a distraction.

This guy might be the favorite—- see who all he coached and who we are poaching him from.

I did see Heard's name as a possibility to join the staff at some point today or yesterday while reading some stuff. His resumè is nice. Not sold on his recruiting prowess, but he seems to get the best out of his position group.

Unless his recruiting profile in inaccurate, it seems like a pretty good list

Yeah, not what I’d call a splash hire

Who do think would be a splash hire?

It wasn’t a splash hire and I’m not sure he is better than Ike, but I dig it since he is already inside Hugh’s circle of trust.

It was a real hire unlike …. you know

Do you think this guy is worth firing Ike over? I don’t

Ike was the biggest splash on the Harsin staff. Maybe Freeze has a couple up his sleeve

That’s kind of irrelevant don’t you think?

It’s irrelevant because it has nothing to do with my question.

Hilliard is an NFL guy and wants to coach in the NFL. I think this was a mutual decision

Your question is irrelevant. The new WR coach cannot be a splash hire if the old one was better.

Harison let Hilliard take a run at his wife in exchange for Ike taking the job and help save him
