I have seen his name being thrown around mainly for Oregon or Nebraska.

Joe Brady

He has flamed out pretty spectacularly since going back to the the NFL. I thought that was kinda normal for guys going from college to the NFL, but he already had NFL experience.

Doesn't he pretty much hate the extras, like recruiting, that come with the college job?

Exactly. He wouldn’t be calling the plays under pimp daddy Freeze though. He’d be the passing game coach like he was at LSU.

I have the same concerns towards him. He caught lightning in a bottle with an incredibly talented roster.

I don't necessarily have huge concerns with him, other than what I've heard about him hating the off field parts of the college game. I think he's more comfortable in the NFL. He left a top tier college program coming off one of the single best seasons the game has seen to probably the worst franchise in the league. He didn't have a whole lot to work with. So, I didn't have huge expectations there, but I think he really hurt his career trajectory by making that move.

Take away the NFL, he played in the SEC when Freeze was a coach in the SEC. He from the south. Almost certainly has high school networks. 1 person (so far) from Liberty that Freeze has known for 15 years. Doesn't that have value in itself?

How do you suppose he has high school networks when he was just a quality control analyst at Vanderbilt?

Lastly, why are you so defensive over a guy that you learned about 10 hours ago? My criteria hasn’t changed. A former SEC player isn’t automatically a great hire. You’re talking about value when he is dime a dozen.

Dukes at 247 says Freeze is bringing Liberty TE coach with him in some capacity. Ben Aigamaua

From Liberty’s site:
quote:

Aigamaua, who joined Liberty’s staff as a tight ends coach in 2019, followed Freeze to Ole Miss and was a part of the Rebels staff from 2012-18. During the span, he worked in various roles, including offensive graduate assistant, offensive analyst and assistant athletic director for community relations.

You think he gained nothing from being a high school coach in Nashville and Mississippi?

This is clearly one of Freeze's guys (like he trusts him).

Just silly to go into the whole act of calling this type of hire underwhelming.

It’s obvious you are just going to defend every Freeze guy.

I bet you’re the type to say 2* recruits aren’t underwhelming because they shine locally as well.

Son, I will never get along with you

LOL. Has he even been officially hired?

If so, this is the very first hire. One hire.

It's just dumb to think Freeze isn't going to bring anyone from Liberty and get all reactive when he does.

Now if he were to pull a Tuberville and bring all assistants from the prior stop, that would be a different story.

(As a side note, your assumptions are ridiculous, and out of nowhere, just totally reactive , why even do that?)
