Does the committee take in any thoughts from the Coaches Poll when making their decision??

Malzahn ranked Bama before OU and OSU. How does that benefit you if your rival makes the playoffs?

Malzahn, you want to be loved by Auburn? Get back to your "We beat the dawg crap out of them", man eat man mentality

Doubtful. Most of the coaches aren't even the ones who vote.

I don't know why people still think coaches fill the ballot out.

Who does it then? AL.com said Gusto ranked Bama 3rd, whereas Saban ranked us 7th.

Sounds like a pretty fair assessment to me. In fact it may even be a little generous on Saban's part.

bama being ranked high when we beat them, as well as, uga was the only reason we got our hopes up that we could make the playoffs. I'd rank them #1 every year.

Apparently the WKU coach completely left us out of his top 25 after the SECCG and when asked said he just forgot about us. So the coaches poll isn't that reliable

Makes sense. College football coaches aren’t exactly the smartest group of people you could poll. Honestly I’m not sure Gus would be qualified to teach middle school English outside of Arkansas.

I’m starting to think computer models should play a role again , a.la the BCS.

We should have never done away with the bcs ranking system. Just made it a top 4 play off. The only reason the committee is there is to inject bias. That's the only reason humans are ever chosen over computers

How does ranking OU or OSU over Bama make our win in the IB look better?
