Former Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey stint at Kansas will be a short one.
Lindsey has landed the head coaching job at Troy, where he replaces Neal Brown, according to multiple reports. The news was first reported by FootballScoop.com. Brown recently accepted the head coaching job at West Virginia.

Wow. I guess we'll see what type of coach he really is.

Good for coach Lindsey. Sucks for Les Miles... I guess.

It's easy to blame Gus, but if Chip was strong he'd of told Gus to F off and run the O. I doubt he'll be successful.

3 consecutive 10 win seasons for Lindsey would mean Troy would have 6 consecutive 10 win seasons altogether and that’s just not happening

He might be a success at Troy but it takes a special coach to beat LSU and Nebraska on the road in 3 years along with winning 10 games 3 times in 3 years. Troy’s a difficult place to recruit to

Sucked for Les Miles to take that Kansas job in the first place. That is coaching suicide.

Yeah...I'm sure if you were making 1mill a year you would tell your boss to F off too

In 2006 if you had told me Chip Lindsey and Jeremy Pruitt would be the head coaches of Troy and Tennessee respectively while Rush Propst was still coaching HS, I would have had a good laugh.

Apparently it worked out ok for Jeremy.

It's not uncommon in coaching circles for a coach to tell a head coach to stick it...you go looking for a new job in the end but you do so with your morals and philosophy.
