I was not born. Ould

But I was one of the few here before Bruce even had a decent season at Auburn. And you weren't.

Piss off

Tahad and Hall have to figure out if they are going to play well together or both try to be the #1 player.

Pett isn't a PG. Too often he dribbles around looking for his shot. The O doesn't flow when he does that. He is loose with the ball way too much. Hall is just a bucket getter. He can score from anywhere on the floor.

On the bright side, Bama's getting waxed by Arizona in their own backyard.

Yeah, looking like Arizona might just be that good. Haven't really seen them play defense like they are this year, usually their teams seem to be great offensively and average defensively.

This bama second half has been so enjoyable.

Bruce didn't want him playing PG initially.

Called him a bucket getter.

Makes you wonder if we could have had another PG and Pett at the two.

It seems doubtful Tahaad would have came back without being able to be a primary PG, since he has zero shot in the NBA as a 2. But we certainly would have been way better off with a legit PG and him at the 2.

He definitely sucks at the distribution part of being a PG as of right now.

It's interesting that we have had two undersized guards in recent memory with elite college skills. Sharife with the court vision and passing and Tahaad with the scoring. What I wouldn't give to have a combination of the two.

Want to say something positive

SWA was 4/6 from free throw line yesterday.

He looks like he wants to get better.

But do we have anyone better?

I'm hoping with a few more games we start to see some coordination, because up to now it's a lot of irregularity. We don't pass well, we don't get up and down the court vert well , we don't inbound very well, our full court press is dismal on both sides of the ball, we miss layups, Pet doesn't distribute with ease... I could go on. But all these are fixable, timing issues and familiarity with each other, I'm not down on the guys.

Just hoping we start to gel before conference time.

Nope, we definitely don't. This is just a poorly constructed roster overall. Hopefully we can keep getting better and make the tournament.

The entire SEC is down this year with no teams that really look dynamite though, so we should have a decent chance at a winning record due to that.

Pett is struggling because of a few reason that can mostly be boiled down to the roster isn't very good. Freeman and Hall are basically iso scorers, which results in everyone standing around on offense.. that leaves no one for Pett to pass to when he drives. He also works really well with a high screen and roll.. its open shots for him and creates lanes for him to pass to a cutting big man.. the problem with that is Murphy sucks at the high screen and roll, so again no one for Pett to pass to and he's having to force his shots up instead of taking them off a screen. Also the fact that no one else on this team can pass worth a damn, so he doesn't get many catch and shoot chances.

Hall is an iso foul merchant who can't defend or pass.

Freeman will probably end up being really good if he stays and develops, but he's still raw and inconsistent.

Murphy isn't bad when he's active, but he's not that active and still can't play big minutes.

SWA still raw but developing well so far, but he's just a role player for now.

Overton isn't very good and everyone else is just a body.

Hard to win a lot when that's what you're working with. Pett on a better team is still the same guy he was last year, but everyone else being a step down in quality just makes everything harder for him.

I noticed Blake got in for a few minutes again.. got smoked on the court and then immediately taken out again. I don't understand why we keep putting him out there. I would have liked to see more Simon Walker in the 2nd half.. he can't defend, but neither can anyone else on the team and at least he can shoot.

Basically what I've been saying. Give him 15 minutes a game and see if his defense can improve. He's about the only player on the bench that could potentially give us that consistent three point shooter we need.

Where is Bashir?

Bashir is injured if I’m not mistaken. Blake is playing because he generally solid in defense and at least understands the defensive concepts.

The Emeka situation seems so weird. Doesn’t looks like he has an injury. I wonder if they found some heart issue or head issue that was unknown.
