Can we please come out looking like the Purdue game?

For goodness sake its Kent State.

Or will this be another series of 3 and outs, bumbling blocks, dropped passes, and Bo running for his life?

I still think Brahms should be our center, might light a little fire under the crew.

We should let Gatewood run all wildcat packages. Why put in Boobie when the D knows it’s only a run. Put in the guy who can run and pass, even though Gus will probably never let him.. keeping defenses off balance is something Gus seems incapable of trying.

You want us to look like the Purdue game yet you want Brahms at center?

Gus should sit this one out and be preparing for A&M.
Just let Bo call his own game.

I think the more time Gus has to prep, the worse the play calls might be.

They threw Brahms in there as soon as his broken leg healed, even though they had atrophied to the size of olive oil, the boy is ready to go now.

And no Gatewood will not come in for the wildcat and throw, unless you have a squad of EMS crews at the stadium, definitely would be a lot of heart attacks.

I would love to see:

1. The defense get 2 INT’s.
2. Great punt coverage.
3. Joiner carry the ball 10 times.
4. Gatewood throw at least 5 passes.
5. One 50 yard run from the tailback position.
6. An average of more than 4 ypc on the inside zone read.

It will be a miracle if three of them happen.

You will see:

Boobee up the middle 25 times.

That's all I have to offer.

I want to see the read option and power run create passing lanes.

Same. There is no reason we aren’t running the read option more.

Like 2013...that would be nice to see. We had such an elite O-line that season though, I don't know how successful it would be this year.

The only way you’re seeing that is if Malzahn wises up and finally starts Gatewood, and runs the offense he actually wins with.

2/6 occurred. Not surprised.

It’s not about doing EXACTLY what I want them to do. It’s about getting the team ready for the SEC gauntlet.

What happens to our season if Nix gets hurt?

Gatewood has not done anything in a month to become better at passing.

If Boobie gets hurt?

Martin and Swartz are not every down SEC backs. No other RB’s are ready for 25 carries per game.

The punt coverage was good.
The 2 INT was just a hope.

We had a 39, a 35 and a 27 from three different backs.

Yes but he had a completely random but very specific threshold that wasn’t met.

Bummer.
