Yea just reported. Found in his hotel room. No cause of death reported. Sucks man. As an early 30s guy, he helped raise me.

His stand up was unbelievable

And now Bob Saget is dead. Thanks a lot Gus
I was going to blame Jay Jacobs but he’s in Gainesville and Gus was actually in Orlando

I think the same boosters that funded Gus’ buyout are the ones we expect to step up to fund the big NIL deals to lure recruits.

Still not how that works. Boosters are just one of several parts of it.

If Young was a business man, he'd enter the transfer portal after the national championship to see the highest bidder

Good point
Scary af how accurate that is. CFB is one star doing that from being turned on it’s head.

I love Auburn and Auburn football. But if players are worth or even demanding multimillion dollar contracts I might have to check out of the game.
Hell only 2-3 NBA picks each year for their rookie contracts make more then $5 million.
This is a complete shite show on so many levels. I don’t want to know if we can buy better players then the other team. I would watch the NFL if that was the case.

I’m right there with you. I don’t think that’s a game Auburn wants to play. Most universities would be left for dead if so.

I’m sure Young will be taken care of

I assume there will be a market correction once boosters realize they’re getting unproven talent.

I’m not sure how much it will effect the university’s. It’s principle to me. It flies in the face of amateurism. I’m all for free market. Free market requires sacrifice, this is taking a current model and putting in free market ideas. I am also for the players that put their blood sweat and tears into that getting a cut a wage if you want to refer to it as that. $1000 a month but you have to pay all scholarship attendees the same whether it be for football, band, or academic. Because the academic studies the university gets paid for those as well and the junior “scientists” don’t get their cut like sports ballers do either.

No way an NIL deal is going to be more than a coaches salary.
That would be all kinds of problems
