LCT.....assuming you live over there? Did you or "2010champs" hear anything about the fire alarm at the athletic dorms a few weeks ago? 2010champs has reliable intel.

And also, what’s the best airport to fly back east out of at Christmas? Is it worth driving to Portland or is thd Eugene airport okay?

Never been to Salt Lake, only driven through…. So I’m not sure about there but Eugene has a horrendous homeless problem. Every stop light or stop sign will have people holding signs. Since COVID they have allowed them to camp anywhere they like. It becomes a problem when large groups camp near by. You will find needles, human waste, garbage, and the like EVERYWHERE around the encampments. Look for needles everywhere not just around the encampments. Everywhere has down sides. Other than that Eugene is a wonderful city to live. 3 months of incredible summer where it can be 100 during the day and you will need a light jacket after dark.
They have a wonderful city transit bus system.
As far as airports, we alway flew out of and into Portland. The differences in prices made it worth the 2.5 hour drive down the I5. Like major differences. You can almost fly 2 into/out of Portland for 1 into/out of Eugene.
If you go visit and need a motel my son is maintenance manager of a best western, I could probably get you a deal

Jackson St is an Under Armor school too. Too many things pointing toward Auburn for this not to happen.
