In the press conference Deion told his son to stand up and then said “That’s your QB.” lol
Yeah our PTB isn’t ready for him. Lol

Boulder has to be one of the best college cities in the nation. At the base of the flat irons. Beautiful scenery. Folsom Field is a great stadium as well IMO. Pac 10 is losing UCLA and usc. Colorado will be leading that conference very shortly
It’s an awesome city. It’s all the fricked up people living there that sucks. Deion won’t have problems selling that school and location to recruits. It’s going to be fun watching what he does. I was very open to him coming to AU.
Colorado made a bold move and will benefit from it just from the exposure alone.

Boulder the city versus the county is a fun dynamic. The county has a lot of farmland and working class folks. Super good people. The city is different. College kids, tech, and certainly an “elite“ class of people there.
I (and a few others) helped kids develop business plans for ideas and products they were working on. Most were agricultural or environmental in nature. I’ve taken ownership in quite a few for kids that graduate and need some support afterward while they get their feet on the ground and build out. Most don’t work out. But several have and one in particular really fricked up my taxes one year
Not much diversity in Boulder. But it’s a pretty inviting place. Stunningly gorgeous and the campus is really nice. It’s not for everyone but as a guy that loves beer, bicycles and running it was a cool place to spend time. That’s not your average recruits interest, though. And while I like Sanders I wonder how he’ll recruit and retain talent there. It’s quite a bubble and it feels isolated from most of the country.

20-30 minutes and they have plenty of things to do right. I mean, I think he will lure a fair share there just because if his swagger and sales ability.
Now you may be right on the maintaining them there. I have no idea where Zthere NIL sits st but he will need it. They used to be a very competitive program in the Big 12. Like I said though it will definitely be interesting to watch it unfold.

I think Deion is going to go,over like a lead balloon in Boulder. I’m not talking about job performance, but with the locals and alumni. The wokes that live in Boulder are the type that basically give it lip service, i’m talking elitist. So when they get a taste of Deions antics, AKA telling his kid to,stand up at the presser, they will find it funny at first but grow weary of it. In state recruiting is almost nonexistent, and I don’t see a bunch of moms in the south wanting to send their kids off to a place a 4 hr plane ride away. When UA, AU,UGA, UF are a 2hr car ride away. This seems like a reverse Harsin hire to me.

It’s possible but winning can make the elite hold their tongues.
I think a figure like Deion can overcome a lot of that just because he doesn’t give a shite about what people think and is driven to succeed, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it plays out like you think either.

That bit about not caring what people think might be a problem for some in Boulder. I have listened to Deion speak to his players at JSU and frankly,he tells it like it is and doesn’t play the victim card. I am not sure how his practical views of society will go with the elites in Boulder. If he wins it won’t matter, but it’s a tall task at CU. I used to play golf with a couple guys once a week at Colorado National one was a CU guy, the other a NEB guy, they used to talk about the glory days back in the 90s and this was in 2009-2012. They both seem resigned to having dead programs. They were shocked when we went from 2009-2010 and won it all and then 2012-2013 and damn near won it, asking me how we did it

Sickle cell trait might keep some guys away from CU.
Ryan Clark played a game in Denver and ended up in the hospital.
1 in 13 people of African descent have sickle cell trait.
Altitude and dehydration in that setting could cause significant issues.
There are players in the NFL with the trait. I’m sure CU medical staff watches any athlete with trait closely, and has a plan.
Boulder is what altitude, 6000 feet?
Coach Prime will make a splash, but some players may not choose to put themselves at that altitude if they have sickle trait.

CU is cash strapped. No way he will maintain with no NIL and tough transfer policy
Let's see what Prime does with that. I have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt because of what he did at Jackson St.

Maybe Coach Prime can drive some NIL donors?
In some ways, he’s old school.
In some ways, he’s new school.
He did not last in pro football on talent alone. Even the best have to break down film and understand concepts to last a decade. His talent was amazing.

Yea very weird fit for both sides, I guess they have nowhere to go but up but I can see it not lasting long before a mutual parting.

No you aren't the only one. I was on the Prime train but that ship has sailed. Good luck to him. Move on. We have enough to fix within our program
