Okay so Kiffin wants to come but his family wants him to stay - and we’ve been negotiating with Freeze for a while and it looks like he might be our next coach

Yes. Apparently his daughter is late in HS years and there is issues with ex wife. It is understandable. Hopefully there is no hard feelings from Cohen.

My honest feelings about this hire is pretty mixed.
I’m fine with getting Freeze if Lane/the big surprise hire did that work out. Freeze is a pretty good coach when he doesn’t drop games. Doesn’t mean he’s number 1 for me but a good consolation prize for sure.
What worries me is his behaviour. Has he learned from past mistakes? Will he repeat the same mistakes?
