Definitely more relevant experience than Harsin and I appreciate you sharing some of the positives. If I think rationally and not emotionally, I could see him working out for some of the reasons you mentioned.
But man, I have to say I don’t want to have to convince myself into liking some random hire again.

We’re fewer than four hours from today coming and going without any substantial news. Auburn plays at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.
Lane Kiffin has been busy on Twitter, retweeting the Kick Six, quote tweeting Hugh Freeze about Liberty’s senior day and posting a picture of Knox in a CAA hoodie. There’s no news there, but the combination of the three kind of makes me laugh. Given the situation, I would have passed on the Auburn highlight retweet.
Anyway, Kiffin has told several people today, without qualifiers, that he’s staying at Ole Miss. Names you’d know and people who Lane would have no obvious reason to lie to. I don’t think, however, he’s signed anything. There doesn’t appear to be any movement on the contract front, but that’s what I have right now.
Maybe you see this as nothing. Maybe you see this as affirmation of last night. Maybe you think he’s just trying to get out after tomorrow. Whatever way you think about it, it felt relevant to mention."

I have been adamant that it was Kiffin based on some information. Not near as confident tonight. LK has never been who I wanted and he has lost luster the last month.
Lots of rumors, but it seems like LK is not seen as a good fit, his demands are too high for someone that has not won more games and we want to stay away from a Jimbo situation. I see this as Auburn Having concerns.

I would hope Auburn would have concerns about how the past two weeks have gone with his game prep, players, etc and that maybe its not worth paying a guy like that $10M+ to run your program.
