I just think OM fans believe he is their savior too much for the school to let him go. Plus he has no pressure except beating State and winning 8 games a year and he will never be complained about. They may can only go 4 years but they can offer him more per year than they do.
There is no way Auburn is diving in A&M style on anybody for 10 years with the amount that would be guaranteed of that.
Also if anyone knows anything (which I doubt they do) Kiffin isn't coming before the Iron Bowl. So if they believe it's before then it will be a weak hire.

Kiffin is already making 70 million and was about to get an increase. I was thinking 10 mil but it’s not messing with my money.

So there is an auburn jet tracking twitter that said one of our planes - N20AU - was flying up towards northeast Mississippi this afternoon. I tried checking it myself on flightaware but tracking is private. Take it for what you will.

Kiffin is not already at 70 Mil at all
His first year at OM was 3.95 Mil. He then got an extension that raised his annual to 4.5 Mil. He also got some incentives if reached would get him 7.5 mil annually over a 4 year contract which is maximum
