Maybe or maybe he has figured it out. He has way more ranked wins than Deion.

I am because I know there's about a 90% chance we'll be doing this again in 3 years.

I'm "send Bruce to recruit Kiffin and name your price". Once Hartwell is brought on board.

This is also my thinking. Everyone will be calling for the next head coach to be fired within three years.

I don’t want Rhule as option 1 but I can’t fault him for not blasting top 25 teams while he was at Baylor.

a secondary concern would be him leaving for somewhere else after a couple of years

I see this listed for a few perspective coaches. Coaches don't leave Auburn unless they get fired.

Rhule - Wisconsin / Nebraska
prime - Ga Tech
Auburn - Kiffin
Aranda - Nebraska / Wisconsin

I still Dan Mullen is a dark horse to land one of these jobs (including) AU

Dan Mullen will never be offered the job.

That's a terrible fit to me. Want to negatively recruit GA Tech, just walk in the living room with a Calculus book, because everyone has to take it.

I will bet a paycheck that Mullen will never even get a phone interview from AU, ever.

Yeah, when someone thinks that way about Mullen, if they can just recall the Cam Newton debacle they would change their mind.

Perfect fit to me. They don't have anything to prove just want to win a handful of games and year and boost ticket sales. In Atlanta where he starred as a player...No pressure to win championships or do anything really.

Dan Mullen will most likely not get another SEC HC gig.

You have to take calculus at GA Tech. Do you think Deion can spell calculus? GA Tech comes with some inherent challenges that other schools don't.

This is true. Plus, Ga Tech is very much an un-Atlanta school that just happens to be in the middle of the city.

The idea that the potential opening at Auburn is bad due to "job security" is also false.
Number of full-time coaches since 2000:
Georgia: 3
Auburn: 4
Alabama: 4
LSU: 4
Tennessee: 6
Florida: 7

If you lose in the SEC, you lose your job no matter where you work.

Dang, didn’t realize Florida had been through 7 coaches since 2000. Yet nobody talks crap about their boosters…
