Bama's problem wasn't the line blocking Saturday night ....It was the loss of their best receiver in the first quarter.

For most of the game ...I kept checking to see if it was a rerun of the Auburn Georgia game ....The pass drops by the replacement pretenders for Bama looked like the worst of Auburn at the beginning of the season.

So much for all those five and four stars ....

Bama gave up 7 sacks. Hall had three. They did have a problem. Their line was weak in the running game as well.

Saban shouldn’t have his stud WR playing special teams in the era of Targeting ejections. What can go wrong there?

One has to have a screw loose to declare Alabama's Offensive line is worse than Auburn's

Or someone not paying attention to stats to say it is actually possible.

What game were you watching? Our defense was molesting them even with Williams in the game. Sure, they would have completed some more passes with him out there, but we spent basically 3 and a half quarters in Young's face.

It wasn't just 7 sacks - it was 8 QB hurries on top of that. An absolutely absurd performance by our DL and edge rushers. Moultry "only" recorded 1 sack, but had 4 QB hurries. Hall had 3 sacks. Their OL was whipped.

Bama recruits well, so obviously their OL must be elite. And we don't recruit well, so even in games where Bo Nix gets sacked ~once and has to evade pressure a couple times (you know, like every other QB in the country except maybe Stetson Bennett this year), our OL still sucks. Stars > Actual Performance.

Our pass blocking has been at least average for the majority of the season. Only the truly overmatching opponents have killed us, and it's actually in combination with the fact that our run-blocking has been non-existent in those games (ie: we can't do anything on the ground, so the opposing team starts crowding the LOS and sending more than we can block).

Difference is Bryce moves around in the pocket like Tom Brady waits for guys to get open buys time by climbing up not running in circles

Put the best receiver back on the field for four quarters ....Bama runs the table all night against our defense. When their number one man was tossed out their entire receiver corps went to crap. Now ....start counting dropped passes like I said earlier.

I was watching the same game you were.

Lol yeah, it was.

It doesn't matter if the QB is throwing to Jerry Rice if he's under intense pressure the whole time. QB accuracy is greatly affected by pressure, which we put a ton on Young.
