That's weird. You hated him a lot to leave an everlasting impression on me.

Upon further review I am apparently wrong? I dont see anything on google

Yeah that was the 2012 season and was a little over 2 weeks after TAMU had put up 63 on us at J-H and 5 days after UGA beat us 38-0 in J-H. Not happy times so I lashed out irrationally. Good job, you caught a human being making a mistake Mr. Perfect.
Now since you obviously don’t have much better to do in your life outside of digging up posts over a decade old, why don’t you try to find the one’s where I defended him?

I am not digging through your posts. I relied on google for a single search for that.
I said I was apparently wrong even though I don't see how. Your sarcastic one liners dont ever help. What is a JJ derper? The OGs know if you are telling the truth or not.
Google showed you defended him over running off the swim coach.

I had no problem with JJ.
If I remember, you and I were the only two left that liked him. Everyone wanted Allen Greene.

JJ did more work than Greene will do in his life. JJ was actually perfect for Auburn. If we had him right now, we would be buying up some players

Allen Greene had no business being AD at Auburn. He hired Harsin based on a hot tub encounter and after a quick zoom interview where the cameras weren’t working.

Me sthinks thar's a difference between wanting Greene and wanting JJ gone.

Sure there is. We fired a guy who was pretty much doing the job. Raising money is the biggest part of that job. We brought in a guy that had no real experience at doing well because of who he was and everyone was excited about it. He didnt do that job, he was actually terrible at it from his very first decision which was to extend the contract of the terrible girls round ball team...
Like it or not, JJ did the job. Would love to have his fund raising skills right now

Couldn't more hardily disagree.
While the money men (the PTB) were indeed his backers this was not his only function.
And people were tired enough of JJ that they were ready to embrace anyone. Greene's open armed embrace with largely the same as the one in a one night stand. Where the lust for something makes the body reach out in desperation... knowing it might be but a short, maybe wrong, but welcomed relief.

Green never did shite. Just took up space and filled a check mark.
JJ brought in Bruce and filled the coffers with cash. That alone is more than Greene would have ever accomplished.

congratulations - your right
I agree he's, "never done shite" . But that doesn't mean people weren't really glad to see the next guy.
You'd of done better to say we were fooled!

I don't have Allen Greene on my Christmas card mailing list, but he did get Pearl to sign a contract extension when other schools were looking to poach him.
Outside of that...yeah, he didn't do shite.

Didn't he hire a women's BB Coach or softball coach? I tend to remember him getting another coach in besides smurf turf man

The first thing he did was extend the woman's basketball contract who had a perennial losing record.

Not everyone. Some of us were horrified by the Allen Greene hire. He was never and will never be good enough for Auburn.

Green extended Coach Flo, which was a massive mistake. Johnnie had to rebuild this program from the ground up.
