Morning gents and ladies. Its our last game of the season. Been a painful and good season all in one...
Recruiting is recovering so hopefully, we will compete better next year

Working this morning till 12:00 then heading home to watch the games. Cold AF here for us but Im going to do some burgers on the grill tonight. What yall got going on for the New Years weekend?

Honestly will be glad when 2023 is gone. Been a frustrating year. Hoping for 2024 to be much better

Same here brother. 2023 can be flushed down the toilet… rough year.

Keeping it simple for the game.. some hotdogs and chili on a cold day and knocking some chores out this weekend.

It wasn't all bad but it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Mostly house related and some business related stuff. 2024 will be much better.

About to get busy here so as usual, I will be working from home all weekend during College and NFL. Mostly prepping stuff for next year. I have a bunch built up and plan on adding to it.

Looking forward to a bowl win. Dont even care who it is against. Just tired of losing them.

Pace yourself today, baws - we’ve got to keep the powder dry for the bball game tonight at 9.

I have a few errands to run. My father's 81st birthday is New Year's Day so trying to get ready for that. I am going to make some chili to eat while watching the bowl game. Hoping for a good outcome.

Man I will try but that will be no easy task for an early riser and old man who crashes early......

Plus its cold AF down here and I have not turned the heat on yet this year

Makes me sleepy

Last day on family vacay in the North Ga hills. Got a fire going this morning, planning on relaxing and watching some bowl games. Debating on hitting a couple of wineries close to the cabin. Look forward to seeing how all the young guys look today and getting the W. WDE

take time to enjoy that to the fullest

my dad was pretty much his old self up until just before he hit 83, after that things went downhill far more swiftly than i was prepared for

2023 has been pretty positive on average for me personally

played more music than i have in over 3 decades, bandmates went from casual acquaintances to dear friends (and new friendships are much harder to make the older you get)

retiring from my job of 20 years next Friday, starting a new gig the following week (better pay, work from home, bosses are people I know and trust)

spent the last month getting in shape, pleased with my results thus far

wife and kids all healthy and happy

usual set of frustrations but they seem relatively minor in the scope of things

in the meantime, spending this weekend unwinding the Christmas chaos at home and tying up loose ends at the soon-to-be-former workplace

overall, life is good

Need a “W” today to finish on a high note and go into next season with all the optimism we can muster.

It’s been a LONG damn time since Auburn’s won a bowl game, and I’m ready to start putting that kind of shite behind us.

War-Damn!!

The year has been fun most of the time but going through house building hell has been a big stress on us and we don’t typically stress. It has just not been fun at all. I would have never thought we would have the issues we did.

Everyone has been healthy but I need to get on your exercise program. Gained a few pounds stressing which I intend on taking care of.

Business was down some this year. More than I wanted. Some of that was an overall trend in the fishing market and some of it was just me. I took off more time from work this year than I ever have. If I had to guess, I took 8 weeks off this year. It was part of the plan. Need to find a way to do that this year and handle the business during that time off. We have a couple of weeks planned in the keys, a trip to Ft Lauderdale and possibly another trip to Red Rocks. Then add in some time off for people visiting us and it gets out of control.

A lot of what I considered bad things in 2023 will work themselves out soon and clear the way for 2024 to be better.

Currently drinking breakfast upstairs at Dirk Bentley's while throwing good natured shite at a younger group of Maryland fans.

Absolutely. A win today and I will count it as a start to the 2024 year. If we lose, I’m just gonna lump it in with 2023 issues.

But football really isn’t why 2023 can GF itself for me.

Damn. We woke up to 46. Warm now but I almost had to fire the heater up last night.

Not my kind of weather.

Win today would give us number 800 as a program and break a losing streak against that conference
