Bo QBR is awful. Is that mostly on Bo or Gus?

This is not a good look. Serious question to the board (I'm not trolling or negabarning)...is this mostly Gus' fault for not putting him in good situations or coaching him up or is it more on Bo for not hitting the receivers when they are open?

I think you can blame Gus for being in the situation where we have to play him but Gus isn't throwing those crappy passes.

Bo should at least hit 50% of those passes. he does that and we are undefeated

He should only be playing in mop up situations not starting. He is trying to learn on the fly in the hardest conference in the nation. It's a train wreck in the making.

Some of both.

Bo has executed poorly at times.

Gus has not given him a bunch of easy throws to get him confident.

Case in point, on the jump ball to Williams that was intercepted I think Bo was coached to throw it to Seth if he sees cover 1. Schwartz was open on an over route at the 20.

Bo has missed some throws that he can make.

What other TF QB's have started game 1 in the SECW? Curious which ones were successful.

Not defending Bo anymore, however, how many quick passes to the wr have we dont this year? less than a handful?

Gus is doing Bo no favors whatsoever

We had a two year starter the as our previous QB. Why are we starting a true freshman? He's obviously not a phenom. I think we all know the answer.

Gus mentioned in the press conference that Bo was put in some tough situations with nine 3rd and 10+ situations, and I was thinking "wasn't he QB on most of the 1st and 2nd downs too??" (With the exception of Boobee in the Wildcat on 2nd&10, 2nd&8 etc. (which I thought was a weird spot to insert Boobee into)

In case you haven't figured it out, Gus is an idiot. I'm pretty sure he's had a mental break in the past, and never fully recovered. His psych doc probably has reams of notes from his countless sessions. Obviously, his settle down phrase is "We had a good week of practice."

6.6 QBR in UF game and 27.6 vs LSU.

He even gets in the 40's and we would win those.

It tells me we have issues at the QB position if a freshman has to start, or even worse that we don't have a viable option to come in when he struggles like this.

The QB race must have not been that close at all for Gus not to turn to Joey in either of those games. If it truly was and Gus still doesn't use Gatewood, then he is definitely a tool.

Lead singer, ultimate cheerleader Nix-fanboy ChexMix coming around.

Glad you’re finally getting a grip now that our season is done.

We all wanted the Nix thing to work but several said he would die in Gus’s system, just like every other non-running QB Gus has had.

No coach worth a damn, would continue to play a guy that has been playing this bad. There is no way Gatewood could be worse. We all know how stubborn Gus is, and he is going to mentally break and ruin Nix. Pat should put his foot down.

Bo is not accurate on the road. I’m not sure if it’s nerves or scheme or what. For as bad has he’s been, it can only mean that Gatewood is that much worse.

I’d like to see and hear some breakdown of Nix. Need to see if it’s him or coaching.

There’s no way. Run the read option with JG. Atleast try it.

I'm thinking Gus has his mind made up before Nix ever strapped on pads for Auburn. Gatewood never had a chance, and it's apparent Gus isn't about to give him one now.
You would think that Pat, who was the OC at Miami back in the day, would step in to protect his son. How many top recruited 5* QBs does Gus have to retire to the trash bin before people wise up? Frazier, Johnson, almost ruined Stidham, and now Nix.

Sure there is a way he could be worse. I just don't know because none of us have seen him play any significant time running the offense.

How can you possibly say that? How many passes has Gatewood thrown this year? Are you trusting the judgement of the guy who comes up with whirlybird plays, and two pulling guards at the goal line for a run up the middle against a goal line, stacked defense?

Gus is clown shoes.

He was saying it in the same way you said there was "no way he is worse", right?
