In retrospect, its a good thing that Auburn dodged that mediocre, Auburn-bitching bullet.

Would he have performed better than Potato-Head? Absolutely no doubt in my mind. But he would have been a continuation of the mediocre quick-sand Auburn was in then and up until this day.

But even at Florida, a program that can provide a coach all the money and resources he wants, he's a mediocre bitch of a coach.

So, in retrospect, the Potato-Head path getting us to a quicker resolution was quirkily (and painfully), in retrospect, probably the better choice of a path for the overall future for Auburn program at that time. Because it brought us to resolute and united resolution QUICKER.

If Napier can't even get Florida back on track, he had ZERO chance to do the same at Auburn.

So frick you, Billy Napier. Those threatening alumni you were so afraid of at Auburn? Let me assure you, Coach, you'll be hearing from the Florida versions soon. Good luck.

Earlier this season I wasn’t sold that he was a bad hire. They had a top 3 class at the time and it seemed like there might be something there

But yeah, since then it just doesn’t look good on the field and that class is/will be leaking commitments

What if we wanted Kirby back in 2015/2016?

I remember being flat out annoyed when we gave Malzahn a big extension after the 2015 season.

Granted I also thought we should take a run at Mullen, Boom, Petrino, Kiffen etc... so maybe I'm not the best judge.

And that 15 extension granted to Gus is exactly why we are in rebuild mode now… should have let him
Walked to Arkansas and the program wouldn’t have suffered

History lesson: it was the 2017 season when we beat Bama and UGA (the first match).

It is always a guessing game. There is no way to know how a coach is going to do or mesh with a program. Everyone is looking for that one guy. Very few find it.

If you take a broad look, there is really only 5 or 6 really consistent, “good” coaches out there. The rest is just a revolving carousel of tries and guesses.

Looking at this season, I think we got our man. Freeze has a great personality that the kids relate with (unlike potato head who had the personality of a door) and has proven himself in the SEC. Gosh to beat sabun 2 years in a row.

IMO, A&M seeing we r on the rise plus adding Texas and OU to the SEC has them panicking a little. I cannot stand him but not sure who they get that’s better. Go get Lane.

Absolutely. They are in panic mode and maybe trying to get ahead of Michigan in the coaching line.

I thought Chatsworth Billy would be a good one but he just seems lost at Florida. Swing and miss. He still would have been better than potato famine.

Buddy of mine played for Billy’s dad at Murray County and Billy was a freshman when he was a senior. He’s been pretty sad about how it’s gone for him at Florida.

Napier seems to stoic, not exciting at all. Needs to be a more dynamic person but doesn’t seem to be in his blood

Same goes for Venables. I’m sure Oklahoma’s boosters are being so patient with him.

I admit this was who I wanted when we hire Harsin. I’m glad I didn’t get my way.
