doesn't feel like the run and gun team from last year. Feels slow and bogged down

It's hard to be in a rythem when you aren't playing regularly.

I think this has a lot to do with it. It's almost as if the first half of last night consisted of the team just trying to find their groove again. Playing twice in 4 days should begin to get that rhythm back, and Purifoy should get more playing time once fatigue begins to come into play.

Whenever we get smothered in the first opening mins you can tell this team can never really get back into it. If you look at Duke, NC State and Ole Miss the above happened. They pull within a few possessions and the other team pulls back away. They don’t play well under pressure.

Watching Ole Miss at MSU. Lots of time left, but the black bears/rebel land sharks look legit.

They are on fire. I didn’t even know their record was that good.

AL.com link on Purifoy showing frustration online

We have had DP nearly four years and we basically never got to see him save for one year where he played out of position. It just wasn’t meant to be with him. He had a ridiculous ACT score jump, he accepted illegal benefits, he had work ethic issues, and he was our first guy that Bruce said played like a pro. What a disappointment.

He’s definitely not playing because he’s in the doghouse for something

My guess is effort.

I knew he was gonna be back to pouting after yesterday’s game.

Yeah I don't think he saw the court against UGA. The best advise would be to STFU and work hard.

Probably wasn’t a good look to try and get some girl to come to your room the night before a game. I’m sure it’s more than that though. Either way, when he’s played so far he looks lost on defense.

I like Purifoy and want him to succeed, but I can't justify cutting back on minutes for Doughty/Dunbar if Purifoy isn't giving it 100%

It's crazy but Doughty/Dunbar arguably can be much better yet from an efficiency standpoint they already are elite.

One of the more impressive class of 2020 point guards this year has been Sharife Cooper. The diminutive Cooper can put up points in a hurry and also has a pretty good feel for the game.

When it comes to his recruitment, Cooper says a handful of schools are already making him a major priority.

For now Cooper is in no hurry to make a decision, but he does know what he will be looking for in a school.

"I want to go to a place that feels like home and go to a place where I feel like the coach believes in me," said Cooper.

He plans on taking return visits to Auburn, Kentucky, NC State and Rutgers. Duke has expressed interest and he wants to visit there at some point, along with a few West Coast schools in Arizona and UCLA. He hasn't set up any official visits at this point in time but plans on doing so after his season.
