Injuries may be a blessing in disguise. Allowing other guys to step up and they are answering for the most part. We should have some decent depth and a variety of scoring options when we get healthy.

Wait... what?

You REALLY think a title would shut Brannigan up?

NIT would be great for this squad. Going to be interesting next year without Frankie

We have Price who was on fire before the injury.

Wow, UK could be limping into Auburn next week. This team is so lackadaisical.

I hope this is the year I get to eat some crow about Barbee. What I watched today was at least competitive.

I think we have guys that will step up when Frank is gone. We finally have some other scoring options in some freshmen (3 have gone for double digits at least once this year), a senior guard (Denson), and Payne has shown he can score when he is called upon.

Give them time to gel without Frankie and we'll be decent

Such a frustrating game to watch, but I'm glad it was a W.

It was frustrating mainly because they completely out rebounded us. I thought AU played damn good for being on the road. Our offense kept coming back when we were down and it went back and forth. It was a good game to watch.

Yeah that kid is frickin annoying. I dont think I will hate anyone as much as that kid.

Pumped for basketball. I'm going to stay realistic and expect a few scoring droughts, but exciting about the improvement.

Barbee has always had us competitive, we've just had jack for talent. Barbee can coach, it is just a matter of whether he'll be able to bring in the talent here to make us decent.

Nice win today, hopefully we can keep playing well until we get Denson and Price back. We should have a pretty deep team when they come back.

yep. but would post season along shut up Auburn fans about Barbee being a bad hire?
Lord I hope so. I feel good about the way Barbee has the program going. I was just a tad bit skeptical to start the season, but I feel that we have thoroughly improved not just throughout this year, but also year by year. The key for him is to keep improving every year until we get to the NCAA tourney at least on a somewhat consistent basis.

Never thought he was a bad hire. Just disappointed in the progress up until a month ago. You can tell a big difference from the beginning of the season. They take care of the ball better, make shots, set up good plays, and play decent defense. They need to work on rebounding and free throws.

Always respect dudes like that, not really that good but play like a man on fire the entire game.

Barbee's biggest challenge has been and will continue to be changing the culture of AU basketball. AU is a football school, and that's not going to change, but I think if he can get us out of the bottom half of the league on a consistent basis that would be huge. Fan support is key too. People need to actually show up at games and show they give a damn.

Screwing up a few of those ooc games may bite us in the arse. We could be solid through conference play and still not qualify based on our record. Had we won 2 more ooc games, I would feel good about the nit.
