Yea our offense is run like we have a great passer who is serviceable at running while we have a great runner who is mediocre at passing. Just weird. I just never took Golesh as the type who would watch something fail over and over but again I think he has a loyalty issue. Or maybe he is falling victim to the sunk cost fallacy and feels like he needs to treat Byrum like he’s as good as he’s paid idk

I think there is more there to it than that. He has had this guy for years. He brought him over here. If he has to bench him, he probably sees that as an indictment on him as a coach/recruiter/developer. And with big time coaches, ego always wins.

He had a plan...Got his teeth kicked in during the mid season stretch. Now we need to let him spend some money on players and then judge. I will say, if the Arkansas/State games go sideways...all bets are off.
He paid too much for Brown, we a juggling linemen like crazy, and the DC has taken 3 steps back with his defense. Offensive play calling has been a head scratcher also.

At the end of the day, the buck stops with the guy at the top. Whoever is responsible for this abortion of an OL, needs to be given their walking papers. OM dropped 8 into coverage and Brown was immediately sacked. Even when given time, he still hasn't been coached to just throw the ball away. Brown is not even an average QB. He can't throw, and he runs scared. Need 8 yards, and he's sliding at 6. Pass coverage horrible. Every single game, WRs are running either wide open or the defender is playing 5 yards off of them in short yardage situations.

I realize the talent is below average, but then again, so is the coaching All the false start penalties is just one little piece of evidence of that.
