coming out of the half the whole team likely felt like they were being Sabotaged
and yet the defense stopped UGa on 3rd and 4th down on their first possession, and gave the offense the ball at midfield with a chance to go up by 2 TDs

and the offense and coaches looked like they were still in the locker room

I’m fine with Freeze staying as long as he goes back to CEO type that concentrates on recruiting, fires Austin and Thorton, and hires a top OC that handles the QB recruiting.

As long as Freeze can remain a master recruiter, that would have a very good chance of working without too much drama.

It's pretty sad. I've been mad since Saturday, but it has started to settle into more of a melancholy with large dollops of despondency and gloom heaved on top.

That's kind of what Freeze looks like on the sideline during the games. There is no fire left that man's belly.

The first half against UGA was a thing of beauty, but the wheels fell off through all of the second half. Perhaps, Auburn needed a new game plan for the second half knowing that Smart would adjust.

Then they went on to give up 17 points.

Pretty funny we have a new QB and yall still cant let him go.

Thorne is easily one of the worst QBs in Auburn history and Freeze stuck with him for two seasons. Hard to let that go.

I know right? It’s like 2015-2020 on repeat. It’s going to have to be someone outside of being one of Freeze’s old GAs for me to feel good about it.

I have come around to the idea that this current coaching carousel isn’t like it was 5-10 years ago.

There is a lot of risk with keeping him and there is a lot of risk with letting him go.

After simmering, pondering and listening to multiple angles for 5 days I can see the wisdom in both sides.

Hopefully we win the next three and can get back to talking about recruiting.

PM confirming what everyone already knew, the Auburn athletics department is funded by a bunch of used car salesmen.

Who is calling the plays? Is it Gus or Rhett, or Lindsey, or Dillingham?

This sounds like such bullshite lol. It’s clear Freeze won’t win throw the officials out of the way. No way people with that kind of money truly believe this nonsense. Why do people believe this shite?

Philip Marshall has written one of these "he's not getting fired" articles for each of the last few coaches who were ultimately and inevitably fired. He is not even remotely reputable at this point. He reported in February of 2022 that we were apparently not willing to pay Harsin's buyout so soon after Malzahn's bouyout, and yet he was fired later that year.

Nobody is going to tell you that they are firing the coach until it actually happens. So yes, he has probably talked to some people and the official "story" is that he isn't being fired as of today, but that actually means next to nothing. The decision to fire him will come overnight and it will simply happen, its not going to be telegraphed weeks in advance.

And his hilarious quote basically confirms this: "there is little to no chance he gets fired, at least at this point". No shite Philip. He is on a week-to-week timeline right now and could get fired at any point if the result is bad enough.

Your boy this year is already lapping him up. Passing yards per game has jumped from 41st in the nation last year to 121st this year.

Nevermind the fact you have dipshits like Ashford, Jeremy Johnson, TJ Finley, JF3 and a whole line of qbs that could suck chrome off hitch with way more suck.

The only undefeated sauces around here are mine, but the mods would probably delete my thread again if I gave yall the scoop. So I’m not going to waste my time again.

He is viewed as though he is. And let's be honest:

Seeing cohen backing Freeze with so much anger on the field shows he is behind Freeze on this.

If this is true Auburn is a joke and deserves it's misery.

I don't believe old butter teeth.

Hearing Cohen compare his coach to a car that won't start is not the least bit confidence inspiring.

That quote itself says all you need to know: start turning on with consistency (ie: winning games) or we'll be shopping for a new car.

Thorne would easily be the best QB on this team and we would be at least 4-2 if not 5-1.

This seems like typical PMarsh smokescreen nonsense.

If you thought we were getting screwed by the SEC (presumably because we hired Freeze), well there's one answer to that. Fire him tonight

If we're getting screwed by the SEC, what's going to change next year with Freeze?
