It's not like Harsin had much of a choice, you're not going to find a "name" OC in mid Feb. Just isn't gonna happen.

So, I'm cool with the move.

My thought was this confirms Harsin will be calling plays. Keys will likely have a had in game planning and be in the booth being Harsin’s eyes, but this feels like Harsin betting on himself.

Downside is if that was the plan then now we can’t use the OC title as incentive for the offensive hire.

Hoke just posted that he’s hearing Keys will help coach QBs and Harsin will go after a recruiter for WR. Let’s hope this isn’t Corn all over again

I would think if they were going to move Trovon up to WR coach, they would have announced it with these other moves.

Here’s reality. No coach is coming here to be an asst knowing it’s likely a 1 year gig.

The boosters that wanted Harsin gone might not have succeeded yet, but they definitely cut his balls off.

I noticed that Kiesau only coached QB one year at BSU while being OC. He has been a WR coach many times. Could he be OC/WR and they go out and just get a dedicated QB coach?

This just means Auburn will have to pay less in buyouts when we fire the entire coaching staff next year

I imagine Kiesau wasn’t his first choice. He wasn’t last fall either.

It’s a bad time to shop for assistants. Everyone is already in place and February is about the only time of the year any of these coaches get off time

What's funny is we act like assistant football coaches aren't first-line managers in every organization over 500 employees that exist in the world. They aren't special, they are mid-managers. The problem I would have being an assistant football coach is dealing with 17 year olds. I'd fail at it. I couldn't do it and be successful. I was successful in tech but I didn't deal with stupid 17-22 year olds. 75% of the players on every campus have no business being on a university campus. My hope is that some point we'll get back to amature athletics and destroy what exists today.

Probably a better choice than Bobo but that is not saying much.

Don’t know how u can compare Bobo to Kiseau at all. Totally different dynamic and circumstances. The key is, is he a better Qb coach than Bobo. He’s not doing any on field calling since Harsin is.

And as to TReed someone on the Drive seemed pretty sure they know that ain’t happening.

Kisseau has been around some great coaches. He’s from cali, maybe he can get us a word in there. Here’s to hoping!

Or, maybe we can hire coaches with connections to the south so that at least 1 of the top 20 kids showed up at jr day.
