So why will getting more talent help him win games that he should win?

It may not.

It also might. He is given the opportunity to try. If he fails, we move on.

Which, goes to the rest of my point. I don't see what good complaining at every opportunity about what you believe will be the outcome, just for the sake of complaining, when there is a fairly set timeline for when the experiment will either prove successful or not and a change is made.

Using that theory, why talk good or bad about it. Or him. Why dont we all just reconvene here after the season and talk about things

Its no more complaining for the sake of complaining than pumping sunshine AGAIN for the 10000th billionth time because we signed (purchased) some jock that 10 other teams wanted who was gonna take us to the ship

Its discussion and I hate to break it to you baw, because I like you, but the ones complaining have the facts and history on their side right now.

There is zero reason right now to think that Hugh Freeze is all the sudden going to become a great coach because we purchased some better horses. Yes he may build the talent pool up and be able to beat New Mexico State at some point but will he be able to take a top roster and consistently compete with outer programs with top rosters.

And the answer is a big fat NO he wont. He is not that kind of a coach.

Because there is a difference in having a discussion and bringing something up at every opportunity possibility (and my comment wasn’t about you specifically, it was just in general terms).

I mean yea, have I argued otherwise? Being delusional in either direction and ignoring the other side is fairly meaningless.

Okay? So what happens now?

We keep discussing it until there is something better to discuss. Or worse. Which ever comes first.

This thread is miserable.

I wouldn’t say we are the most miserable fanbase but possibly the most toxic.

Corch, one of these would help

to keep from being so miserable.

And it's not the fat little (oxymoronic) girlfriend.

They were filling Jordan Hare all last season and it was a sad disaster of a season after three losing seasons in a row prior. We're a great fanbase.

Imagine what bama would look like after four losing seasons in a row, or Georgia? UT went through it, but that's really the only comparable fanbase situation in SEC football I can think of recently and they meltdown and throw garbage all over their field.

I'd say we're one of the more easy going fanbases in this conference.

Ok, so those of us who, during the last coaching search, thought Hugh was a mid coach with serious baggage. We thought he wouldn't lead Auburn to the promise land. Now, as it becomes more apparent, we should not talk about it? Each game he drops to a lesser talented team we should just wait until he's fired to say a word?

I thought I was recently granted authority to complain again? I thought us non-donors to OTV were finally afford full rights to bitch again since the collectives were going away?

So many rules here.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hugh's most talented team this fall. Still hoping he proves me wrong.

Guy is running on faith alone. Not to knock faith. But faith alone, without works, ain't going to last forever for even the faithful. The PTB have bought in, they know the in's and out's of why we didn't get QB1 or 3 or 4, so it's not as if there's a fire. But not talking about what if's is ignoring the slow smolder at hand.

I never said anything about not talking about it. I just don’t think some of yall realize just how much it gets brought up and how much it gets forced into every discussion

Hell there are some that can’t even celebrate good recruiting news without bringing up their thoughts on it. That’s more to what I’m saying. I just don’t see the point in making yourself that miserable all the time.

The majority of the discussions are not even brought up by the people who you say "mention it at every chance". Its others who are somehow trying to justify their support for someone that has given us zero reason to support him as a game day coach. You are just wishing and hoping things getter better. Its like hoping your girl didnt get pregnant.

This is pretty much BS. Some people here are miserable about everything in life. They cant be positive or have fun doing anything. Dont use their misery to try and justify your cause

Hell even a few good wins would have turned to to "watching" instead of "bailing". Unfortunately, that just has not happened..

You can’t call it BS and then argue the point I’m making

This is a great example of someone showing they are just plain ole miserable. I am most excited about what I think Freeze can do with the passing offense. Yeah he wont win every game but neither did Gus (8-5U) and you loved the shite outta him. You have yet to give Freeze a shot and I dont blame you as he hasnt made it easy to change minds.

How long do I have to wait baw for him to have just ONE good win?

3-4-5 seasons?

Say what you want about Gustav but he gave us some good wins. Hell, even Harsin gave us a few good wins

Other than being a good shopping bitch, What in the hell has paster Freeze gave us?

Harsin gave us very little wins. Just one..and that was all Bo Nix.

I am going to try my hardest to not underestimate my hope under Freeze versus Harsin so I am 100x more optimistic than I was under Harsin. He got one win while he was tearing the rest of the roster a part? Big deal.

Just give Freeze one more year. Lot of the leg work is already done.
