I actually did my entire life growing up and the damndest thing happened, I never gave one thought the whether or not my teammates political ideologies were the same as mine. As long as people treated their teammates with respect and could play.

That is a personality trait. If any cause, ideology, position a person consumes them to a point they lose all reason - that is the person's individual fault and not necessarily the cause/ideology itself.

Point being - if a person sucks, then they suck regardless of whether their passion is football, politics, women or video games.

Unfortunately, it does matter. We have a guy on the team currently - Tyler Fromm - who was affected by this. If you guys don't remember, his brother Jake Fromm (the UGA QB) was "cancelled" after someone leaked a "pseudo-racist" text message he sent. I know for a fact that that story trickled down to Tyler Fromm, even though it's absurd to implicate someone's sibling.

Interesting choice of words in defending someone who quit on their team over a virus he had .0000001% chance of being effected by.

I'm surprised he's coming back since it requires him to risk getting in the car and driving to the facility for practice.

Didn’t Wooten sit out last year because he just had a kid?

Give the kid a break. During Covid each person has to make the decisions which they feel are best for them and their family. Chandler felt like sitting out was best. Don’t judge him for making decisions about his own life.

He didn't sit out because of a damn virus he sat out because of his support for the BLM ideology.

His son was to be born in the middle of the season and he didn't want to risk anything happening to his family RE: Covid.

But sure Corch, go straight for the BLM stuff.

Don't call me out. He's the one that's been the moron on twitter. And he felt more at risk playing football or marching in the streets?

So if he wanted to protect his family from a virus he should have stayed his arse at home instead of gathering in large groups of people. Kind of hard to have it both ways.

"cheering us on the field and killing us in the streets" ring a bell to you. He should have taken all that time he was posting on twitter about BLM he should have been posting about the virus and information about it since the Drs couldn't even figure it out maybe he could have shared some correct info.

Well, considering you're regularly a moron on here and he actually has the balls to put his real name behind his actions, sure, I'll call you out.

As for felt more at risk playing football or marching in the streets, some things are bigger than sports in a person's life. For some, that might be racial injustice. For others, that could be perceived election fraud. And for others, the only thing that matters is football. Does that mean that one is more right than the others? Depending on who you ask, yeah, probably. But no one's mind has ever been changed by a well thought post from a differing opinion online.

He did stay home. The baby was due in November, right in the middle of football season. His activism in protests took place in June/July. He wanted to make sure he was there for his family when his child was born. And considering that there was a major rise in cases this fall across pretty much every football team at every level, it appears he made the right choice so that he could be there when it mattered to him.

There's a lot to unpack here. But I'm not going to change your opinion on anything at all by doing so, so I'll just say this: sorry you don't like what Chandler believes in.

One sentence about social injustice. The main reason being family.

Yeah I'm the moron in this situation. I post so much moronic stuff. I give opinions. Most of the time the turn out correct. Just because I don't follow group think doesn't make my post moronic.

We will see how it turns out for Chandler. I suspect life isn't fair to him in the future.

I am certain I have done more for Black lives in my lifetime then Chandler has or ever will.
